The Crusades began as fighting back against the Islamic invasion of Christian lands and their cruel rule, including slave raids on the European coast and throughout Africa. Today, Islam is taking over Europe by immigration (soft jihad). It's unsurprising that the Crusaders were anti-Jewish as the church had established anti-Jewish rules at the Council of Nicea in 325: Christians were to have nothing to do with Jews; not allowed to marry Jews; Jewish believers in Jesus had to renounce their Jewishness and weren't allowed to circumcise their sons or observe Passover or the Sabbath, but had to change ti Sunday and Easter. They were described referred to with many disgusting adjectives by these fondly remembered Church "fathers". The church later forced Jews into ghettos and denied them tertiary study and most forms of employment. Rumours went around about Jews being sly, untrustworthy, controlling and killers of Christian children. Sound familiar, only now its Palestinian children? Hitler justified the Holocaust on church writing, and the church did nothing about antisemitism … just like today. What would our Jewish Messiah say about that?

Well, the writer has obviously never worn armor. The descriptions of its downsides are woefully overstated. The best you could say is that the description of weight, poor vision, and more is based on tourney armor, and not any armor that would be worn in battle.

Left off 4th crusade in 1204 sacking the largest, and Christian, city in the world – Constantinople.
Unimaginable amounts of gold and silver flooded into Europe causing massive inflation and funding the building of Roman Catholic cathedrals throughout Europe.
