The Weightlifter His Country Wants You to Forget
Mel follows the life of Mel Daluzyan (formerly Meline Daluzyan), who was once a celebrated sports hero and a symbol of national pride in Armenia. When Daluzyan came out as transgender, the fierce societal and cultural backlash cost the weightlifter his fame, his fortune, his family, and his homeland. The documentary, directed by Inna Sahakyan, explores the immense sacrifices he had to make to pursue his gender transition and live authentically as a man.

Not natural. Was caught doping in 2019 when samples from the 2012 Olympics were reanalyzed and found turinabol and stanozolol. If older samples were available to retest, it would show she’d been doping since the early 2000’s. Not a natural phenomenon: pharmacological.

I'm certainly not going to start judging any other countries customs or religious beliefs and social acceptance etc cos I'm ignorant in all those respects. Suffice to say I really feel the pain of these poor foods and it's upsetting viewing. Anyone who's currently experiencing anything remotely like this case wherever you are and anyone who knows someone who is has my upmost respect and I hope you have at least one good soul behind you cos you're gonna need it. Bless you all wherever you are.
