The War that Outlived Jesus | Tales From the Bottle

Qxir | March 15, 2026

How long can a war last? Tales From the Bottle explores with one of the longest wars in history, beginning centuries before the birth of Jesus, and lasting til modern times.

“The Third Punic War (Latin: Tertium Bellum Punicum) (149–146 BC) was the third and last of the Punic Wars fought between the former Phoenician colony of Carthage and the Roman Republic. The Punic Wars were named because of the Roman name for Carthaginians: Punici, or Poenici.
This war was a much smaller engagement than the two previous Punic Wars and focused on Tunisia, mainly on the Siege of Carthage, which resulted in the complete destruction of the city, the annexation of all remaining Carthaginian territory by Rome, and the death or enslavement of the entire Carthaginian population. The Third Punic War ended Carthage’s independent existence, though the Punic language continued to be spoken in northern Africa until the 5th century AD.”

1:14 That goddamn M17 gas mask! OMG! I hated that thing SO MUCH!
It had 𝙩𝙬𝙤 filters—one on each side of your face—and they were in pouches behind that little black disk which is the air intake. When you put it on, you had to seal it by covering the air intake and breathing in, but there are two air intakes on opposite sides of your face, so you need both hands to do that. The filters are inserted via a slit opening 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚 of the mask! That means to change the filter𝙎 (𝙩𝙬𝙤 of them, remember) you have to take the mask off and dither around inside it while holding your breath and with your eyes closed!

0:44 It wasn't a "technicality" to that isolated WW2 Japanese soldier who lived in the jungle for over 20 years, completely cut off from the rest of the world, genuinely believing the war was still raging, since he had no way of being notified it had ended… Pretty sure Qxir (& of course, many others) has a video on him & his story as well

Sweden was in war with San Marino since the 30 Year War until recently …. However this was a hoax unfortunately, but what a great story that could’ve been and what a great Quix .. Qrix … well what ever this channel is called could have made a great video with Swedish S-tanks and Gripen jet fighters being warded off my the San Marino guards with their swords and lances.

Almost thought you said the great pubic war. I paused my multi-tasking, wanting to see where this was going. It was not what i expected, but still entertaining and informative as always.

I understand your frustration with Logitech. It actually once were a great company, I'm talking about the time when they had 5 year guarantee on their products, now you are lucky if you get 2 years. I actually had my Dinovo model replaced back in the day and without sending the other back. It was oddly enough just the key with the 9, ) and ] on it (Swedish). Hence I gave it away to my sister that can only count to 8 and that isn't making smileys the old school way.

The Korean War is still technically going on. A peace treaty was never signed. Only an armistice agreement. So, the war never actually ended. It's basically been in an indefinite state of cease-fire.

Logitech actually has really good customer support. If you tell them about your problem, they’ll likely just send you a whole new keyboard.

4:55 I didn't take the time to translate the whole document, but the beginning says, "the internet itself is a pain" in Latin. I bet the whole thing is pretty funny.
