The US Teamed With Germany for One WWII Battle | Tales From the Bottle
Another day, another fight. This time a very unusual one – we’re going back to World War II, and the time US and German Forces united.
“The Battle for Castle Itter (German: Schlacht um Schloss Itter) was fought in the Austrian North Tyrol village of Itter on 5 May 1945, in the last days of the European Theater of World War II.
Troops of the 23rd Tank Battalion of the 12th Armored Division of the US XXI Corps led by Captain John C. “Jack” Lee, Jr., a number of Wehrmacht soldiers led by Major Josef “Sepp” Gangl, SS-Hauptsturmführer Kurt-Siegfried Schrader, and recently freed French prisoners of war defended Castle Itter against an attacking force from the 17th SS Panzergrenadier Division until relief from the American 142nd Infantry Regiment of the 36th Division of XXI Corps arrived.
The French prisoners included former prime ministers, generals and a tennis star. It is the only known time during the war in which Americans and Germans fought side-by-side. Popular accounts of the battle have called it the strangest battle of World War II.”

the US didn't team with Germany, the Allies teamed with German deserters. An important distinction.

1:08 nah Qxir. My version of the fight ends with us both saying “you know how to throw a punch lad” then buying each other a round after bonding over our mutual bruises.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." – John3:17. Jesus of Nazareth died for the remission of sin, including yours, was buried and rose from the dead on the third day. Whoever believes on him has everlasting life in heaven. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." -John 3:16.

i see some people saying that the wermacht officers and soldiers were inocent and didnt commit any crimes but thats just a myth by the alies after ww2 (they wanted countries that got invaded to trust germany once again). Actualy the german officers were meth adicts and were (in some cases) doing more war crimes than the SS.

The US allying with the Nazis is nothing extraordinary; before they joined the war (because of Japan), there was a lot of support for the Nazi regime and after the war they rescued several Nazis to employ them in its technology and weapons industry. Even today, the United States is the largest cradle of the neo-Nazi movement.

What is the "French surrender" meme even supposed to be based on?
France capitulated after being defeated militarily, not because it gave up. Moreover, it had at least 2 parallel resistance movements (that I know of) fighting the entire duration of the war, and coming out on the winning side. Those are literally the OPPOSITE of surrendering. … AND it's not the only country like that.
