In the early 2000s, they played it on national TV every Wednesday. My brother and I used to wait for it so eagerly, we even convinced our parents to order pizza every time. We’d just sit there, eating and laughing our hearts out. One of the best times of my life.

I've been watching this show religiously since the first episode in 1989 and today I learned that the sea captain's name is Captain McAllister 😮

The Simpsons died years ago.

Selman saying this show 'still stays fresh' is very telling, when it desperately really needs putting down or a complete reboot of some kind. I can't wait until they start replacing the original voice actors once they start croaking, even though they're a huge part of the show's identity.

If they had just stopped in 2000 it would have been the perfect, an encapsulation of nineties culture.

All the guest stars (7:30) give nothing to the show. Where's the true satire and comedy? I don't watch beyond season 12 of The Simpsons, but the first 12 are fabulous.

This look back really shows you how brilliant the show used to be. A true masterpiece that should have ended maybe 2 decades ago.

This video doesn’t break down any of the shows biggest moments, it just talks about what’s happened in it recently..

The Simpsons Movie definitely would've been better if they'd brought Hank Scorpio back instead of some random nobody. But oh well.

One of my favorite Simpsons jokes is when Otto is racing Marge to school in the flood channel and Milhouse goes "Woah, this is like Speed 2, only with a bus instead of a boat"

I taped the first 10 seasons of the show on VHS. Still have them too, complete with all the commercials. Original exposure to the Simpsons was at a film festival in 1987 i think. Homer was drawn differently and sounded like Walter Matheau and he was quite a bit more intelligent talking about philosophy. Lol

Love the Simpsons, but please stop it. Actually, please go back in time and end it after maybe the first 10 years.
