Back in the 80s and 90s we were promised a three day working week and a life of art, music and lesure as in the future robots would be doing all the hard labour. Humans not having to work like slaves on the production lines is a good thing. Think about all the good things you could do with your life if a robot did your job. Do you really want to waste your life working?
Robots take are jobs, the work that the robots do creats a national living wage, we all live a good happy life living are dreams.

Those at the top do not want this to be to the best of all our interests, they want it to be to the best of their interests. Replacing jobs while further lining their pockets is paramount to this AI push. Its the Luddite situation all over again, this time we won't just be able to go and smash up the data centres.

Some nice points
There's no encoded set of facts, it only generates plausible sounding answers
And that only one or a limited set of answers are selected. Or facts are simply hallucinated.
I think that's the key, people only care about plausible and confident-sounding answers. People are so easily tricked. And they are addicted to it.
