I like Spirit a lot. I fly them frequently. I am an elite flyer with Spirit. 1. They have cut back over half their flights out of Las Vegas. It is difficult to find a flight now to the NYC area. 2. Cut backs are so drastic how can they now get enough revenue to survive ? 3. All my flight were 99 percent full with constant revenue food drinks seats and bags. How were they not making enough ? Management ? My prediction is someone will get them for pennies on the dollar. They won’t survive without a merger.

Spirit Airlines is like that gas station that has bullet proof glass and a security guard due to the type of customers they get.

Police should not be getting paid out of education budgets.
I was hours off the highway on the Todagin plateau where 16 rcmp (c-irg)were getting 24h / day overtime for weeks on end to babysit a exploratory drill camp from "protesters".

(Spirit). In January, the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts blocked the transaction because it violated “the core principle of antitrust law: to protect the United States' markets – and its market participants – from anticompetitive harm.”
Still don't understand how the Justice Department sees this as a win for the US consumers with Spirit going into bankruptcy. Seems that JetBlue will get a lot of these assets through the bankruptcy process.

foreigner i have never heard anyone say a good thing about Spirit Airlines besides their low prices. but it is
famousnotorious enough to even make it to our local tv game shows.@donfisher8035

You pay to get somewhere fast. It's not a pony show and free foot rub. I've yet to hear about a Spirit plane failure that ends badly. This is Chapter 11 code. Some will get paid, others not. Pratt and Whittney quality control mixed the wrong soup cocktail. As soon as those engines are inspected and turbine blades replaced, this buys time.

You have a very poor grasp on reality if you want to fly on the worst airline to save a few bucks. You're just begging for all the holes in the swiss cheese to line up.

POR filed will have a debt for equity swap with convertible bondholdwrs. Company will stay around for another year or two—don’t think they’ll be liquidated ever. And their loyalty programs r still a very valuable asset that they can keep loaning against

I’m surprised. Actually quite surprised. I thought Spirit was the “Ryanair” of the USA. Last I checked Ryanair was kicking the butt over everything else.
Though Ryanair uses Boeing.

ive flown spirit multiple times and they never did me wrong, i even missed my flight a they gave me a new flight and it was my fault. i think people pay for spirit expecting the experience from United or American and thats just not gonna happen.

The interesting thing about Delta and United being the most on time is that they both operate the oldest fleets than any of the others.. honestly great maintenance programs at both airlines.

First of all, great video! Secondly, the summary for me is that spirit can in 20 years ago with Rick bottom prices then the other big 3 lowered prices too and that was the end for spirit. 😂 ultimately, we all want ultra low cost airlines operating so that the big 3 don’t raise prices.

It’s important this airline keeps flying. Otherwise we who travel on other airlines will have to deal with those types of customers

Good! I hate spirit airlines. Its like one of those horrible restaurants where they can only capitalize to new customers because existing ones will never come back.
