After watching this movie with my older kids, the very next morning, I set a phone next to my oldest daughterโs head while she was sleeping and then called it lol
She screamed like a banshee!

I saw the movie at home. One week later, I'd gone to watch fireworks and was walking back home in the dark, past the cemetery. At that moment I realized it had been exactly one week since I'd seen the movie. Little chill. Then, I heard a "Ring! Ring!" bell sound, and saw a circle of light approaching me. I'm frozen in place because I know this sh** can't be real!
Turned out it was a person on a bicycle with their headlamp on, ringing their little bicycle bell. Still, the timing and placement of that was… memorable.

This movie scared me when I was a kid. But then I pictured Samara fumbling with a phone, maybe messing up the number or not hitting the keys fast enough. Then after she hangs up the phone, just sort of, hanging out, tapping her hands on her thighs, clearing her throat. Just waiting.

One thing that didn't come up was , "Why does the voice on the phone say 7 days?" Producer didn't ask. I was waiting for it too.

How did Rachel climb out of the super deep well she was knocked down into by that flying TV set? Oh and carry the dead girl's body out too? And why wasn't the dead girl decomposed?

It would be hilarious to do a 2025 version of this movie: a teen watches it on their phone and 7 days later, she either tries exiting the phone but the screen is too small and itโs just her fingers grasping at nothing OR she can come out but is like 2 inches tall ๐คฃ
