Saying the bent pyramid was a mistake is an assumption. It's in many ways better preserved than the great pyramid despite being older. It's also the closest of all the pyramids internally to the great pyramid. It's a complex structure, we don't really know that it was not intentionally build the way it way, or if it was a mistake. By writing it off as a mistake we minimize its achievements and fail to consider reasons why it might intentionally be shaped the way it is.

There is a lot of assumptions about the pyramids taken as fact without evidence. Those bad assumptions are a big part of why alien conspiracies take off in the first place. The traditional narratives about the pyramid building don't always make sense and the how is often sidelined in the conversation.

You totally click baited us Joe. Btw its 5mins to lay each block upwards of 2 tons, 24hrs every day for 26 years. This doesn't include quarrying and transporting the blocks, nor does it include the massive foundation stones which cover a much a larger area. Copper and stone chisels, that needed constant replacing and maintenance, massive extra lumber and labor overheads. Then there's the logistics of feeding and paying workers. On top of all that there are the other structures built at for Khufu and families afterlife, including dozens of smaller pyramids, temples and complexes and possibly the Great Sphinx. This obviously doesn't add up, calling "easy" doesn't make it so, and having a lot of theories doesn't mean we're closer to the truth. The inability for egyptologists to admit their timeline doesn't work, I think is to blame for the outrageous theories.

So, basically I learnt building them was not at alllll easy. Ya so I am going back to the alien theory. There are massive pyrimidish shaped temples in India, one of them even has a 30T rock on top. Now they know they used a really long ramp and elephants to move stuff…

Having practiced architecture, it totally agree, though the exact details of how they built it are interesting such as using the ships to move the stone along the Nile thus making their quarries, and they didn’t even have carts with thru axels.

Why you say its easy then? Not aliens but also not easy.

Joe, please look at the Drexler paper on evidence for reconstituted limestone in the Great pyramid and at least consider some of the blocks identified in the paper(s). As you suggest, likely a combination of some or all discussed possibilities, including possibilities you did not discuss as well.

They were so easy, says the guy who has never built anything, that they were THE EASIEST thing to build. So, so easy, that we've been collectively trying to figure them out for thousands of years… I say we're not that clever at all. But I actually build things, what do I know. Go on, ask me what I've built. I'll tell you all about my bridge over there.

I like to think that when they were building the bent pyramid that someone went on PTO and when they came back they realized their team read the schematics wrong and they needed to correct on the fly to still hit the delivery deadline

Quarrying, shaping, transporting, and placing a block every 2 minutes… It takes me longer than 2 minutes to put my socks on.

The counterbalance fulcrums seems logical. Those slot on the side could be where they put something to act kind of like a wheel chock of sorts to keep the weight from moving at certain levels so they didn't have to have 100 guys holding a 3-ton block in place while gravity and physics tugged at it while they reconnoitered things with newly delivered block.

I took an Anthropology class 35 years ago, Rise of Civilization, classic. When Egypt came up, it was addressed rather matter of factly, "This is how they did it, it's not a mystery." for the record, it was the outside spiral ramp theory.

when i did the math I got a bit more than 5 minutes per block vs 2 minutes assuming 2 million blocks and 20 years (5.4 min per block using 20 x 365 x 24 x 60 to arrive at minutes in 20yr / by 2 mil blocks)
