And, as always, this drum cover made by Drumeo heroes is totaly cool! It's not the original it's just another original sound like that!

To me this sounds off with the full shuffle feel. It’s clearly a very straight 16th note groove. A little swing (shuffle) could be nice but this much just feels very messy. Theres no right or wrong OF COURSE and I respect everybodys choices and love for music. This might even sound cool if it was a very conscious choice but i don’t think it was. He sure grooves anyhow!

Not me immediately hearing the entire song in my head upon reading the video title because I watched "Moonwalker" too many times as a kid thinking "mecha-Michael" was awesome… Not me.

I saw him play for the Offspring last year. He got to play a solo during the show and it was pretty sick. This guy plays with a lot of energy, it was a party

I love "Speed Demon." Very well done. As I was listening, I thought about how this sounds like a drum part for a live audience–less spare, more high energy for the stage.

Don't forget The Offspring kicked their drummer out because he wouldn't take the jab because his doctor told him not to. His name is Pete Parada.

This is the beauty of music. Such a different take yet it sounded so cool it's amazing! I did not know this song I 95% believed this was the approach. And the reveal was shocking how simple the original is. This series is cool, keep it up because as someone who is not a drummer, it is so interesting to see. I learned to play the piano for 13 years so music plays a significant part in my life even today, this is the thing that follows me and even helps me through different times every single time.

I know this guy from his very thrashy cover of Slayer's Dittohead a while back. It was very interesting to see him take on something completely different.

October 13, 2026 at 7:44 pm
He understood the song. But I don't know if I will understand why this tune needed work of 3 drummers.
@bwa_8
October 13, 2026 at 7:44 pm
Why did they use 3 drummers on the original song ?
Why did they use a drummer at all ?

I think Bradley's news feed is being revealed as leaning hard to one side. I have heard no one upset by this. I assumed James was referring to Bruce Springsteen, who has been touring just to spew his hate of Trump.
Given websites, like Metal Injection, wear their far-Left views like a badge, if they're upset by James's comments it's because he didn't fall in line as they prefer.
On the other hand, you have Tom Morello and RATM. They present themselves as communist/socialist guerilla warriors, but the reality is they're millionaires, Tom graduated from Harvard (the epitome of THE SYSTEM) & they all spend more time hob knobbing with ultra wealthy elites than the common man.

I think it would be a cool idea to bring back some (or all) of the people who have done this series and get them to redo the same song, maybe the passing of time has made them think they would do it differently and Id bet we would get some cool and unique versions of these great tracks.

How is it humanly possible he has never heard this song? Has he been living under a rock or something? I’m sorry I’m not trying to sound mean but if you are a musician it’s your duty to know shit
@Mueseek

I'm confused….how is this kid a professional drummer? If the snare didn't sound that good it would sound like ass…

Great video and amazing interpretation and the original tune is great as well, I’m gonna put this song into my rotation to jam over

You needed to use this song for a double kick drummer… see if they could match that bass speed
@Ajayvr227

@BrandonPertzborn – the self restraint not to follow the crazy synth pattern is admirable. My ADHD wouldn't allow it, even knowing that it's an MJ song.
"Do it, play the fill, follow the synth!!!".
@Sfe-woop
October 13, 2026 at 7:44 pm
Is it just me or is this drummer showing some signs of extreme excellence?
@drichcymru
October 13, 2026 at 7:44 pm
YES! Someone who pays attention to what he's hearing and is actually trying to be sympathetic to the rest of the arrangement. OK he probably has overplayed it a bit for a studio version but this would translate perfectly into a concert performance, especially with an extended outro. Excellent work
