The New Pornographers – Continue As A Guest – ALBUM REVIEW
Is it any good? The New Pornographers 9th album, “Continue as a Guest” is out now, and I set out to answer that question. It’s an important one, too, as the band hasn’t been able to keep my attention beyond a single spin since their 2007 LP “Challengers.” The Canadian supergroup featuring Neko Case, AC Newman, and (typically) Dan Bejar of Destroyer, puts forth what could be their best release since 2007, and Bejar is notably absent aside from a presence on and in the credits for opener “Really Really Light.”
Do you agree? Is this The New Pornographers’ best release since “Challengers?” What do you think of “Continue As A Guest,” and how does it stack up next to the other eight LPs in their collection? Let me know in the comments below.
