The Lost Anime Go For a Punch/Saki Sanobashi Part 3 – Tales From the Internet Update
It’s been about a year since I last spoke of “the lost deep web anime” Saki Sanobashi. In the time since, a person claiming to be the original 4chan poster has come forward. Some believe him, some don’t, and others have continued the search.

Go For A Punch whilst fake with its claustrophobic atmosphere reminds me of Kazuo Uzemu's dystopian manga/anime the Drifting Classroom definitely a influence on the creating of this hypothetical show

Seems pretty fake. I asked a Japanese friend about this. He had never heard of it by name. When described he asked "are you sure this was anime? It sounds western to me". Coupled with the fact people are making clearly fake "evidence" to promote something they are involved with. Seems reasonable to call it fake

If Saki Sanobashi exists (I don't think it does) honestly it would most likely have to be something someone sold at Comiket (or some other similar doujin market perhaps one dedicated just to guro) where only 50 – 100 copies were ever made and barely one still has it

The Saki mystery can be summed up by people not realizing it was a troll post from the beginning, and most who were a part of the search had never watched a horror anime before, or didn't even watch anime. Most people would just suggest the most popular horror anime without knowing what they were talking about. It should have been a real hint that the main name people knew it under, "Saki Sanobashi" was complete gibberish and never translated to anything meaningful.

I just remembered this and I still don't know why this got as much traction as it did, 1 anonymous 4chan post was literally the only evidence of this thing existing with a vague plot description, not even a reliable title was given, not to mention the whole "ooo spooky dark web anime creepypasta" aspect to it that makes it seem so fake, the fact that people were that invested in finding something this vague and unreliable is baffling to me.
@Tysard

Real or not, with the amount of info available, someone should definitely make this anime. They've already got a fanbase for it so it could be pretty profitable.

I do actually remember watching an anime similar but slightly different to what the OP trollingly described. However, I don't think it was called "Saki Sanobashi" not to mention "Sanobashi" isn't a real Japanese name nor a word. Plus "Saki" would be at the end of a title as it's a first name.
The anime I watched was similar to what the non trolling people described. I watched this way back on November 10th of 2011 when I was about 8 and I saw this on my 3ds that I got back when it first came out as a late Christmas gift. I installed YouTube on the 5th of November that year and usually watched Cobanermani456 or some random anime I'd fine on there. I didn't have a channel or profile at the time of course, it was a 3ds afterall but on the 10th of November 2011 when I turned YouTube on after getting mad at a game and taking a break at that time. The home page had an odd video of a girl in a school uniform. I'm talking old-school Japanese white and blue uniform. The girl's white hair and the colors seemed really saturated. It looked like it was from the 80s, and honestly, that's what drew me in.
The anime started with that same girl covered in blood standing near a Sakura tree silently. Like she was processing something until someone who I assumed was the boyfriend calls her name, upon which she turns towards the screen. After that, it fades to black and gives an artistic shot of the city like old 80s animes would, and about 5 minutes into the shot, big red text popped up with Japanese text that I couldn't read. The same text in the video. I've tried remembering how the kanji looked, but I didn't understand exactly what they meant, so my brain just pushed them to the subconscious to make way for other things. As the brain does.
Anyway, after giving that shot of the city, it goes to that girls house, showing her getting up, dressing for school, and then waking up her little brother, who also got ready for his school. It had a cute scene of them brushing their teeth in sync with on another (which did make me chuckle a little.) During this scene the mom says what I assume was dinner is ready as a few scenes later the girl goes to the kitchen eating the same food the brother is with the mom there but were getting a little far ahead. After the mom calls them down for dinner, the girl gets a text on her phone and starts doing that sheepish thing anime girls do when texting or flirting with their crush or boyfriends. It is after that when the girl finally comes down to eat and the family starts joking around (there were no subs in this anime) from what I gathered the father had already gone to work given that they were pointing at his coat still being there but not his other stuff meaning he forgot the coat.
This is supported when the girl and her brother are getting ready to leave she grabs the coat telling her mom something and then proceeds to walk her brother to school before risking being late to her school to give the coat to the dad who then drives her to school and apologizes on her behalf for her lateness based off his hand gestures. The staff appeared to accept the explanation, and she went and dropped her stuff in her cubby and went to class. Then, it acts like a typical shojo experience. There's the delinquent girl, the nerdy girl, the one who likes the nerdy girl, the weird girl, and the crazy one.
The delinquent girl and the protagonist girl are friends, and the nerdy girl and her friend end up being friends with them. The crazy one doesn't like them, and the weird girl is just minding her business in class. Eventually, the protagonist girl finds her boyfriend in the hallway, and they I assumed made plans for that night.
The anime then focuses on the boyfriend and his friends for a bit until he ends up hours later texting her which is when it cuts to her and the girls going in the lockerroom thing to take showers after P.E only for when they get dressed to realize the door is missing despite it being there and other girls having left while they were in the showers.
This caused an uproar from all the girls except for the protagonist who is just trying to process stuff and the delinquent girl who was trying to calm everything down which the delinquent girl does manage to do but the crazy girl soon starts accusing the weird girl of doing what I assume is some ritual or something to keep them trapped there together. They eventually end up dividing the food from the secret stash the delinquent had in the lockeroom. Allowing them to survive for what felt like days. All the while, the protagonist would get text from her boyfriend who would respond and even went looking in the bathroom but couldn't find them, and the door was still there, but he believed her. Things went on for a while until eventually the weird girl started chanting something weird, finally speaking in a long time before finishing something in her notebook and going to the sink to well you can guess. Which she did eventually do despite the crazy girl and delinquent girl trying to pull her out, she forced herself to remain in the water. During the confusion of the event, none of the girls ever noticed that the notebook she had disappeared completely.
The girls went through a traumatic recovery after this, which eventually resulted in the crazy girl becoming fully crazy for a bit. Even trying to ☠️ the nerdy girl with one who liked the nerdy girl getting in the way instead. The nerdy girl then just sat there holding her for a while, never speaking again. Meanwhile, the delinquent girl disarmed the crazy girl, and they all sat in silence. When they were sleeping, the nerdy girl had decided to join the other girl, which was revealed when the 3 girls woke up to the site of them both in a corner.
A few days later (to them all, of course), the protagonist girl ends up noticing something while the crazy girl and delinquent girl start arguing. Turns out the protagonist girl found the notebook in the corner where the two girls were. While her back is turned, the crazy girl ends up trying to ☠️ with a makeshift weapon she made, causing the delinquent girl to stop her getting them both ☠️ with the delinquent barely hanging on. Meanwhile, the protagonist reads the notebook figuring out how to get out of the place to finally realize what happened while she was distracted, running to the delinquent girl and telling her something before taking the 🩸in the room amd using it to draw what was clearly a pentagram but with different symbols than a normal pentagram and added an extra symbol which I imagine was a number in the center circle, then she tapped the pentagram. It must have been the wrong number as the room started shaking and glitching as she opened the door and ran around throwing all the girls in the hallway before picking up the delinquent girl and notebook walking out with both of them, closing the door on the way out.
As she made it outside, she sat the delinquent girl down telling her something and handed her the notebook with the delinquent girl responding before the protagonist ran off.
The odd anime then jumps between the protagonist running looking around looking for someone as her phone battery had died, and the boyfriend coming back to investigate the locker room after school hours only to find the girls outside and the delinquent girl who is the protagonist girl's friend holding a notebook. They exchanged some words before the boy then ran in the direction that the protagonist girl ran in. Eventually cutting to the scene at the beginning of the anime and continuing it with them both embracing each other before the screen fades to black followed by the sound of sirens and the boyfriend narrating eventually ending with clips of him and the protagonist waking up in her family's house with versions of the pentagram she drew in specific places with a different symbol in the middle.
(I assume this was the right symbol and that the boyfriend was saying something like "they never found out where those girls ended up. The locker room went back to normal when they got there. The only evidence is the state of the girls, the delinquent girl barely holding on, and the notebook. I ended up moving in with my girlfriend's family. I don't think she ever got over the incident because she drew the pentagram from the notebook in several places of the home. They don't bother anyone and aren't too noticeable, so we leave them be. Her friend, the one who survived, still comes and visits, but I think my girlfriend blames herself for what happened to the others.") The credits did have a gong but then used that atmospheric silence similar to what silent hill or horror animes would do.
I will say I figured I'd see it again, but I never saw the video except for when it showed up under another video once, but then I accidentally clicked something else, losing it again forever. Another note to add is that the uploader had no name, just a string of random letters matching the one that weird hacker due you mentioned near the end found and no channel icon. It was like a ghost uploaded it, and that creeped me out. Definitely added to my insomnia problem.

So, strangely enough this anime may actually exist. People like to make fun, but at the time the anime would have been made, it would have been taking advantage of the blood and snuff craze in Japanese anime and film. There was this very weird time period where there was a demand for Japanese media where the main characters would be bleeding or gored up.
The issue, however, is laws in Japan made these films very illegal, so in order to protect themselves a lot what was made was scrubbed. People like to think 'oh if it was ever online then it exists forever', but that's not always the case. This and many other unpleasant gore anime may have existed at one point but was erased with the original tapes destroyed. Maybe someone has this or other films on their hard drives, but films like these may very well be true lost media.
