This video was mostly a fair assessment (The section about his political views is guaranteed to elicit controversy and I will therefore refrain from commenting about that).

Back in the day when this video came out, I initially dismissed it. Now in the aftermath of his Benzo trip with his more recent crazy developments unfolding, I am much more critical towards this controversial figure. While I credit him on pushing me towards a path of success, responsibility and much more meaning in life since ca. 2016, I acknowledge his recent downfall. I wish he would regain the wisdom and strength he used to have in his 2017 pre-fame lectures. That is all.

He’s a shill who uses big words to make his basic ideas seem profound. I don’t believe he is exceptionally malicious, but I do believe he is apathetic to the damage he causes in his pursuit of money and power.

This was delivered from the standpoint of accepted positions in the academy, and in a somewhat patronizing manner. Not up to the usual standard I have come to accept from Sisyphus 55.

"If no one can really agree on what someone has said, have they really said anything at all?"

If that is the standard you want to apply then the conclusion must be that no philosopher in history from Plato onwards has ever really said anything at all.

Can some one please tell me apart from Alpha Males and verry thin Stepford wives . What ither groups of people dose he not hate? He seems to have a big hate filled chip on his shoulder about every one else.

Your take on his advice to those struggling is weak and should be improved, if his advice brings a positive change by empowering individualism and improving people's lives should be encouraged regardless if the thoughts are originally his or someone else's because if his delivery has brought the change then it would be on the account of his understanding and simplifying them enough which in essence is the philosophy of teaching and in my opinion that does make an individual an intellectual

It's ironic that a man who studied Jung and criticizes ideology also ended up a victim to blindly following his own ideology of hatred and cult of personality.

In response to your last question. After having lived in America for over 10 years and in the UK for over five years and the rest of my existence in the Middle East, I came across several realizations. One of them is that the most misleading line that is drilled into everyone’s heads is that everyone is created equal.
I say that because the word equal is now taken out of contact and is replaced by equal outcome. This is why I like to use the more accurate word called equipotent. I believe that everyone is created equipotent. Which means from an internal factor standpoint, everyone starts at the same starting point. The thing you mentioned about inheritance and what not. These are external Factors, and there is no equality, even between two people in terms of external factors. One person‘s external factor will never be identical to another human beings, external factor.

This video aged terribly. We're talking about a person that calls polite request to conserve paper towels in a public bathroom "tyrrany" and can spend half an hour answering a yes/no question (and still not giving an answer). Today, his absurd rule "Tell the truth" (4:05) would probably be ridiculed by him into the ground, if it was proposed not by him, but by one of his opponents.

I never realized how autobiographical Peterson's idea are to himself. It sounds like he has taken his personal struggles and decided that it is so profound that it is a system of thought. I think he still has some work to do on his own self. He seems very egotistical, and his defense of meritocracy seems only to reinforce this. Clean your room, Jordan!

In whatever way he began his career, Peterson has become an unhinged, attention-seeking ideologue. BTW, why did you kill off Chomsky? "None of them lived at a time when social media" etc. Dude's still breathing.

“Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” Power is often synonymous with money. Look at Elon Musk; as he’s become richer he’s gotten more erratic and less of a good person. Because of his outspokenness Peterson has attracted an adoring and cultish following. That’s power too but it’s also a tremendous pressure. Just like Musk he’s been changed by it. My takeaway is no one is either all good or all bad. Take what good you can and learn from them but don’t worship any guru to the exclusion of all else lest you be disappointed. In the end everyone is human with human failings.

Pre-Agricultural societies were/are NOT egalitarian, matriarchal nor peaceful, there's zero scientific support for that. That's just the modern myth of the noble savage.

Im an self aware narcissistic psychopath.

And in my opinion, Jordan Peterson is an unaware narcissist.

He is intellectual and well spoken, but engages in a lot of word-salads.
He conduct himself very well in the environments he controls, but poorly handles criticism.

Just to name a few 'buts'

You are a complete and utter sophist. How can you pretend to represent Peterson's theories without speaking to his biblical lecture series? The majority of his work on YouTube is a psychological interpretation of the Bible. But you gloss over that, and only focus on the political elements. No due diligence was exercised in the making of this video, and you clearly have an ideological axe to grind.

    Unsubbed.

Jordan Peterson is just very dogmatic person. This does not allow him to actually study on different theories, he literally goes on stage and shit on communism because "dictatorship of proletariat" is bad, and he does not understand that any modern communist thinks the same and theory evolved a lot since the begining of 20 century to the point where the main idea is to reduce proletariat to zero by automatisation of every labor that does not require creative thinking (which is happening right now, lol) and establishing society of scientists and specialists – technocracy. To put it bluntly. And it is a natural process actually, there were a lot of people in the field gathering crops – now it is just a few tractors. There were a lot of postmans – now we have email. But, he still have a few good thoughts. A few.

I used to watch his lectures online when i was in college around 2015-2016. It was so crazy to see him go from those tiny numbers to this international phenomenon overnight. I really think he’s lost his marbles by now.
