The Leaked Iran Attack Plan Never Mattered — And Here’s Why
Welcome to Impact Theory with Tom Bilyeu. In today’s episode, the conversation focused on major global flashpoints and the consequences they hold for both policy and everyday life. The discussion explored the high-stakes political maneuvering surrounding Iran’s proposal for a fee on the Strait of Hormuz, exposing the complex dynamics between the US, regional mediators, and local powers like Saudi Arabia. One concept discussed was the tension between ideology and pragmatism in negotiations, particularly how differing worldviews shape strategy and outcomes.
The episode also examined controversy in New York as Mamdani’s grocery store ID policy highlighted the ongoing debate around identification requirements and access to social programs, sparking dialogue about incentive structures, immigration, and voter fraud. A key theme that emerged was the impact of government spending and the sustainability of social services.
Additionally, the latest financial moves were unpacked, including Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent’s efforts to stabilize the Japanese yen and the systemic risks this poses to global markets. The team also dived into the cultural and political rift shaping the future of the Democratic Party, and how online influencers are fueling the narrative around political violence and systemic change.
Whether it’s escalating conflicts overseas, debates about fairness at the ballot box and in the aisle, or the financial systems underpinning it all, this episode unpacks the pressures remaking the world order and asks: what does it take to move forward in such uncertain times?

When will the USA realize that Saudi Arabia is not their friend. Heck, all the 9/11 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia

It is absolutely true. How can you habe Pakiatan as a mediator when they are staunch shias (thier empathy lies with Iran but they are busy sending and selling their troops and arms to Saudi? How will they have any loyalty to Usa? Follow the money trail…

The United States has run out of ammunition? source ?

There was one factually incorrect thing you said: Iranians elected the Reformist party which was pro-american and the majority were pro-american, that's why the reformist party won. Your "great satan" line was inaccurate. Most Iranians voted the other way and their president came straight to New York when he was elected. US officials ignored him. Now most Iranians hate the US because they watched the genocide in Gaza in real time, then watched the Epstein scandal and then watched their country get bombed. That's logical not religious. Any logical person understands that the US is so dark and scary and they have proof they if they capitulate, the US/Israelis will destroy their schools and kill their kids! My god! The stupidity of bombing their schools! Now every logical person inside Iran and outside knows what's at stake in this war and is against the US.

Tom why would any military broadcast how much ammunition they have or don't have?
@Frosty_Tips_
August 6, 2026 at 8:28 am
Tom don't you worry about the US stockpile from your armchair desk setup there, you are smart enough to know you absolutely do not have any anywhere near the same level of intel as Maga as a whole or the US military who's planning this. You do not know what you don't know and you, I, any of us listening here, do not know the half of what is going on. Don't pretend to be the smartest and most intel connected guy in the known and unknown universe, be humble.

Correction: The US did indeed militarily defeat Iran. By all measures we have the vast majority of control of the war. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you just used the wrong word "militarily" and you meant that the US hasn't been able to achieve regime change (yet).

August 6, 2026 at 8:28 am
the general is lying in that every one on twitter has seen the Iranian government's statements from the very first day of the war. Their intentions are known! Iran want to get all the americans out of the middle east because they're sick of being constantly stabbed in the back during negotiations by a country that doesn't even have hypersonic missiles. The Iranian tactics and their missile engineering are just superior to the US , so why should they just accept constant attacks (economic and military)? Most of the world just continues to pretend that the US is powerful but everyone knows that the US military is outdated but so far most play along. The US empire is in deep trouble.

Levels of communist fear here is laughable.
People just want a level economic playing field and an a system that rises to it's ethical standards. Not a mofia, pirating wealth class, with a secondary cleptocratic swarms of underlings scurrying around slush funds, or any other nefarious opportunities, all justified by the behaviors of those tainting the system from the top down. Its sad to witness the erosion put in high gear by MAGA the really got started by Rush Limbaugh. Disgusting actually. This is wy the DSA even has legs at all. Reactionary. This is what happens when the far right is allowed to run unchecked. The far left wants it's turn. Had the right controlled itself, the left would have had to stay in check. But the right could not control itself, and now the left is rising to bring ballance. But the Right fears it will pass the point of equilibrium as the right is currently.

50:00 Whoa, whoa, whoa…wait a minute. You're telling me the "open borders", "no ones illegal", "we're all humans and need to seize the means of production" crowd, who is also stealing tax money to the tunes of millions per store, per year from other NY jurisdictions outside of NYC is now claiming these "benefits" are ONLY FOR NYC'ers? That math doesn't math. And…sure sounds like they plan on discriminating against some people with this scheme with even NYC'ers. Language matters and I've learned their code speak

Let's just put a little logic into this and carry it forward !!!
Let's say Democrats win the midterms and manage to both block the Save Act indefinitely and pull us out of Iran with a loss …
What does that world look like … ????
With the Save Act dead … ballot harvesting ramps up across America and is now being used by the new dominate force within the Democrat party the: Communists … !!!
The loss in Iran puts the Straight of Hormuz completely under the control of Iran … Chinese oil ships go through for free and China begins getting cheap oil again … the rest of the world pays a toll to get their ships through and Iran begins to get rich and fast track its nuclear dreams …
What does a world look like with the Petro-Dollar under assault by China and Iran … ballot harvesting allowing Communism to spread across the US …
China and Xi Jingpings ascendedcy pushing Communism through social media across the globe … while western Europe ceases to exist under throngs of Islamic immigrants ????
IS THIS THE WORLD YOU WANT TO LIVE IN ?????

Drew. If Tom is correct, there is no longer a policy that will fix the economy, so that the culture rights itself. Only way forward is to accept total defeat and change direction, even when that direction will for some time leave people in suffering. Tom wants that direction to be clear and precise, thanks to a common, already proven culture. Because if it's not, it will inevitably be guided by murderous demagogues, orders of magnitude worse than Trump or Mamdani.
Calling out Trump on his incessant hyperbole is completely missing the point. There is nothing left to stop someone even worse from being elected, than culture. You are stuck thinking like Chamberlain, we're not in that place anymore.

Of course “it’s different” “we disagree” sounds exactly the same outside of what exact fraud they did and who “they” are. If you want to stop the Ukraine war take out Putin, then.. If you want to stop the Iran war take out Trump “oh that’s different we just disagree”.

Late stage capitalism makes a country weak by selling off infrastructure. There really has to be policies put in place to hold some industries sacred to the everyday fuction of the society otherwise communism like they practice in china is starting to look like the better system. Right now we cant make bullets and bombs for our own war thats a problem.
@DeBaanDB
August 6, 2026 at 8:28 am
Drew, you have no idea what you're talking about with the tea party. The tea party was the libertarian wing of the conservative movement. People that just want the government to stop being corrupt, stop pressing on the little man, no more corruption and cronyism. It was, quite literally, a revolt against the corruption that came with the bailouts. Please get a little more history, and stop typecasting conservatives as some kind of radical nut jobs that are somehow equivalent to today's communist radicals.

Ryan caught cold showing his colors, unable to embrace truth, and prejudice almost beyond redemption. Dragging the showdown. It's about pursuit of truth, cause and effect.
