Great, comprehensive review; thanks. I saw The Grateful Dead at American U. and the R.F.K. shows. The sound on the R.F.K. shows is wonderful. There is an audience recording that really connects you to the amazing energy we felt then.

I grabbed the 8LP RFK show. Morning Dew is probably my favorite all-time Dead rendition and I love how the LP boxset uses flourishes referencing that track on the artwork. The outside of the inner box has the 'I GUESS IT DOESN'T MATTER ANYWAY' lyric on the edges and the essay by Ray Robertson has a heavy focus on that track and its implications. The only complaint I have is that the vocals are mixed quite low but this might just be part of the recording. Very happy with the purchase.

I’m with you, man. Just got my box set in the mail, listening to all of it in sequence. Great sound (as good as it’ll ever be), great box presentation and extras. Makes me realize I gotta set aside extra coin every year to make sure I can pre-order these fantastic productions.

Fantastic immersive review. Does anyone know what the Rhino Records Catalog Number is for this box set? I bought the digital version, but like to add the catalog info in my FLAC tags so I can group accordingly.

Received my set today. To pre-listen and grade, I needed to figure out how to open, so used this video as a reference. Thanks for posting. I haven't yet gotten to the audio content YET, but that will happen.

This set looks exquisite and I am excited to receive my order.
I really enjoyed the Europe 72 vinyl box last year, Listen To The River box set the year before, the earlier Pacific Northwest box. Great stuff.

Sold out now, so the buying option is now passed. But this is indeed a fantastic set. The 5/26 San Francisco and 6/10 Washington shows are very familiar to most Dead Heads, as these recordings tend to find their way into tape trading collections fairly fast. But it’s worth noting that the sound quality here is a step up from even the best versions of those shows that have circulated so far. Just a brilliant box — this one is going to take a while to digest.

    aaah the Grateful Dead:
17 members and no talent 😂 (and before anyone gets in a twist, i’m kidding – just caught Dead and Co the other night and they were great) ✌🏼

The RFK show in D.C…. wow. The set list is everything you could ask for. Great production too. This one is up there with Red Rocks '78 for me. 🌹💀⚡️
