   When I got to like 1:18 roughly and saw the first art of the furry king I simply uttered under my breath "oh God… this is gonna be fucking stupid isn't it" and like now I'm mad at myself because what the fuck was I expecting from a Whang video??

   Funnily enough, in a literal sense, the Black Hand was guided by an invisible force. Basically, the guys in the Black Hand were all dying of Tuberculosis, and they formed this secret group, The Black Hand, because they didn't want to die for nothing. They were all young, relatively, and wanted to make sure they left their impact on the world. So they figured if they were gonna die, they may as well have done something for the greater good (oh the irony). This also explains why they all looked so deathly skinny in the photos. (May be wrong? Check out John Greene's video essay on TB which is where I think I heard about this).

    this is a very old video but i have one foot in the furry fandom so i’ll answer the questions anyways:
    1. yes it’s common for furries to have characters that don’t represent them, but it’s mostly furry artists/writers that do this. i’ve noticed a lot of furries that don’t have any artistic skill/creativity have a harder time separating themselves from their characters.
    2. yes the furry fandom self-polices to keep the general public from seeing the worst of it. i would say their hatred of eozdniw is a bit overzealous though. i could definitely understand if this was occurring at the same time as a furry fandom “incident” (rainfurrest 2015, magnus diridian, carpet samples, kero the wolf, etc) though because they would be hyper-vigilant about keeping the weirdos in their place as to not further damage their collective reputation.

    13:07 -No but in the description you just read where he discusses the character, its prety clear he is muddling himself in with said character. He even makes a doctor who refrence, then states the character is a fan of the serirs before saying that maybe he is just confusing it with himself. He also makes a lot of very steriotypeical edglord statnents from around the time that online users in a sumialr pisitin did when living vicariouisly through a made up character and trying to seem more than they were with their online prensence. It doent mean thsiw as the casr specificlaly in thsi situaitin but it makes it a lot less comprable to a prof ssionwl writter creating an antagonist character or dynamic protagonist for their product. Even the "I was just doing a morality thought experiment" is such a cluche excuse for thsi kind of thing.
