I don't want you to go, but will I be your true follower if I don't let you go? all your teaching would be useless so I guess I'm letting you go. Thank you Ben, you made me into a happy Sisyphus.

I always enjoyed your old videos but haven't really connected with the "modern" era of the channel. I appreciate the work you clearly put in BUT I think I would need to see a lot more details on this project considering how so many crowd funded projects end up cancelled or disastrous.

By far this is one of my favourite recent YouTube channels I discovered, I've fallen behind a bit but that doesn't take away from the fact your videos are so valuable to not just me but millions of others because they ask questions many are uncomfortable even just thinking about.
One of my Christmas gifts was your book and I can't wait to read it, I've never been a Patreon supporter before but I've mentioned you to friends and family countless times, thank you for everything <3

Thank you for everything. I was in a really dark time during 2020 and stumbling upon a random video with a stick man after a good cry really changed my life for the better.

Congrats on the PhD and the internship in Trieste. Since I live near Trieste, any chance of doing an IRL event so I can get my book autographed? 🙂

hey Sisy, I don't usually comment but it felt appropriate here.
I, too, was at a sort of "forced" fork in the road a couple years back. I was looking for answers to some of the harder questions, and I found myself on your channel. I was particularly drawn to your videos that provided brief overviews for some of the more celebrated thinkers in history/contemporary philosophy. I ended up buying a couple of their books. Those I understood, I felt still failed to address whatever it was I felt lingering. Many more, I simply couldn't grasp at that stage in life.

I'm halfway through my undergrad now, and it's clear I've arrived precisely where I should be. Now, when I encounter something I feel hasn't fully addressed or explored their thesis, rather than just feel let down or frustrated, I try to seek out other writers that felt the same as I. If nobody did, I write it down, and save it for when I'm (hopefully) in a stage of life where I can start contributing myself.

While there are a few channels that fed this curiousity, it was really yours that provided the foundation that lead to my taking this as a serious pursuit. It's largely thanks to you that I've pursued my own field of interest, and I firmly believe that your style, delivery, and candour is a big part of what made me feel capable during a chapter in life that left me vulnerable.

I genuinely look forward to reading your academic work, and it would be a delight to be able to cite or recommend the work of someone who played such a key role in my own.

I wish you the best of luck with the channel, your doctrate, and in life. Deepest thanks for the role you've played in my, and likely many others, life.

i remember the first time i watched one of your videos it was about five years ago when i was 18 , i had just moved out of my moms house and had looked up ‘reasons to live’ or something along those lines because it was getting harder and harder to do so, i believe the video ‘on suicide’ popped up so i watched it you were so kind about the subject and it helped me so much because i had felt like nothing could get better, that something was inherently wrong with me and my brain, it happened slowly but i got better and better, eventually i even went back to therapy and i still go every other week. i will follow you to the end of the earth sisyphus you’re genuinely one of my greatest inspirations in life, your content played a role in me going back to college ill be graduating with my bachelors in psychology this spring and starting my master in SUD related social work and counseling in the fall, much love.

Money aside, is there anything that you and your brother need help with production-wise? I'm pretty tech saavy and fun to work with. I'd love to offer you some of my time. Wouldn't want for this channel to die out, it means a lot to many.

When I first started seeing you, I was very in love with philosophy. I felt that there was a fundamental contradiction with the world, and also within myself—how I wanted to live, my issues, everything.

Over the years, after a couple of losses, I lost myself. Seeing you do so well while I held myself back always woke me up. We’re around the same age, you and I, but you’re doing everything I wanted to do.

You’re like me if I had stood fast. I thank you for always reminding me of myself, and I’ll try to shake this thing off. Wishing you the best. and yes ill give you some bands

Do both. Folks like you, the rare philosophical psychologist, even if they teach, will reach a total audience in the thousands maybe, over an entire career? You've already done the hard part, now just do good work. Your videos can become a way to share more practical knowledge you gain from clinical encounters.

thanks for reading, if you do. and if you don't, i suppose i'm screaming to the absurd anyways.

been here a minute, think since 2020 when covid was at its peak, and uh… when i felt like life wasn't really worth living anymore.

obviously, i'm still here, but you're a pretty big part of that. i guess what i'm trying to say is… thanks for getting those thoughts out on video. i'm still very, very lost in the absurd at times, but in the moments that counted, the absurd allowed me to see your thoughts then – and i am all the better for it.

Hope you go on, love you.
