I remember the first time I heard the interrupting cow knock knock joke. I laughed way more than I should have. Mostly because my brain thought "what if it was an interrupting howler monkey and you just started screaming at the victim of the joke instead of making a little "moo" noise?" And that thought was extra super funny to me, and as a result I laughed until the person who told the original joke was a bit freaked out.
