I've been saying this for years, governments outlaw the use of mobile phones whilst driving because it distracts drivers from the road but they're perfectly fine with roadside billboard advertising, which does exactly the same thing.

billboards are a HUGE MONOPOLY and something people don't talk about. Thanks to government regulations and abuse all billboards in the USA are owned by a handful of companies. Usually just 1 a state, although some are exclusive to dozens of states. GOVERNMENT BACKED MONOPOLIES AT THEIR FINEST!

I always found Planes with banners,or spelling out things with smoke to be an interesting random occurrence. Not really fun,just a hmm would you look at that. That's soo much more preferable to having Drone Advertisements. Just constantly polluting the skyline. If you can put on a drone hologram show,you could easily just have constant drone advertisements taking up most of the sky. You have to pay premium if you want to enjoy the sunset without add obstruction
