    Imagine explaining to a PTSD veteran that their treatment got blocked because a fake indigenous person funded by oil executives convinced the FDA that healing trauma is gentrification.

    Channel 5 does great observational work, but the mental illness content crosses a line for me. It aestheticizes and solidifies disorders that are actually dynamic and context-dependent. That’s not neutral documentation—it shapes public understanding in a way I’m not comfortable with.

    It not only needs to be legalized for like medical settings, it needs to be legalized, period. For any adult that wants to pop down to the store and get it. It's THE best drug by a mile.

    Everyone needs to push for freedom of consciousness: how are any of us first world nations or free citizens when governments here in Australia, the USA, England and most the rest of the "civilized world" aren't even free to choose what drugs we take for our own happiness and health.

    Fuck the government.

    This dude works for a pharmaceutical company funded by Peter Thiel. Why is Peter Thiel interested in psychedelic research? Well, he's in good company because the CIA and other spooks have been interested in that since the 50's. In fact the article that first launched psychedelics into the public conciousness was a 1959 Life magazine article, written by a JP Morgan head of public relations who's research was funded by a CIA front company. Then the whole MK Ultra experiment. Psychedelics were weaponized to pacify the counter-culture/anti-war movement and it largely worked. Be careful with that shit and people like this.

    The random-ass, friendly email @29:00 that's from "someone involved with one of these pharmaceutical companies" is actually from the CEO and co-founder of Compass, the company that Hamilton Morris is doing research for. He's dismissive of the idea that a private enterprise should not in any way influence (or "collaborate" as it's put in the email) in research whose results would influence their interests. Insane.

    “Wife who is a coworker.” 😮😮 if you’re trying to smear your opponents, be a little more particular about what attack vectors you choose. I’m a fan of Hamilton, but that line completely checked me out of his attempted smear.

    SSRI give me convulsions so how can I be not depressed? How will ever know if this stuff works if I don’t even try it, it is absurd how evils some people actually are like psymposia, maps, sarlo, and usona their all shitty companies.

    I pray this medicine is soon made more freely available. Keeping anyone from consuming whatever they wish is harmful to many just as it might be helpful to keep it away from a few. Prohibition is a violation of our natural, God given rights to choose and to our freedom in general.
