Just me or do others also love what Jamie has to say so you actually enjoy listening to the ads aha whatever makes the video longer 😅❤ but u could not pay me millions to watch mukmookwhatevebang. I feel like theres going to be some disease that's specific to this phenomenon

I like watching mukbangs because I used to be able to eat a lot but now I have a eating disorder where when I try to eat a bite of food I get nauseous and can’t eat so I enjoy watching people being able to eat a bunch of food

I can't handle the sounds of people eating but I can understand how people on restricted diets would watch them. I watch people in casinos which actually saves me money 😂

so late, but on the restrictive diets side. which we weren't, but kinda. when my dad was battling cancer there were times when he couldn't eat so i would fast with him and to get through after like the 7-10 day mark we'd watch competitive eaters like Eric Electric or Beard Meets Food to just us through. They aren't anywhere as gross or noise focused as mukbangers, but i know how the watching others eat works

ASMR – ya have to be in the mind frame for it, and the happening is very specific at times. I first experienced it the heaviest in 10th grade biology class (99/2000? The matrix had just come out)- this girl Samantha who sat across from me would doodle… and just the way she glided her pen on the paper would send shivers down my spine lol it was like a massage.. SO weird. Another time that year i was super tired after school and watched Bob Ross that was on TV… i was like NO WAY! So i started watching him after school for months lol Now i really like it when people repeatedly draw the infinity sign or loops- but agressively lmao

I actually love to watch people cook and then thoroughly and genuinely enjoy their food. I love it. But mukbangs make me pretty uncomfortable. I won’t watch them on principle alone with the food waste factor.

16:33 Thanks for the information about mirror neurons! You gave me some insight into myself and why I love to watch videos of people eat instant ramen noodles because I can’t with my gluten allergy. Such fascinating times we live in.

My friend and I are actually going to start filming mukbangs with story times – people just find it entertaining 🤷🏻‍♀️ and honestly, I also find them strangely entertaining 😭
