AlphaBay was the biggest marketplace, transacting over US$800,000 in a day enabling its founder to live a luxury lifestyle in anonymity until international law enforcement caught up with him. Alphabay was shut down in 2017. In August 2021 there were reports that the website was online again.

Think about this they brought down an organization that avoided just as much crime as it committed And the crime that it avoided was primarily violent part .he should have gotten an award not a death Sentence He probably reduced st crime in 10 countries and they never mentioned anything about sex crime or trafficking I guess maybe he wasn't involved in any of that dude's a hero

Buying stuff online with crypto isn't anonymous though…because you have to have a crypto wallet etc and that can all be traced!
