    As an addict and a dealer Ive tooken a life that haunts me and I regret not admitting but what could I do I was young and it wasn't a accidental overdose is was done on purpose

    I use snapchat because my mate is too stupid to figure out to use any form of messaging. And because i only have like 5 homies i talk to so it doesnt matter.

    I still use it but just for my partner and me. Just because Snap was still popular when we were using it and we video call often. I have maps disabled and don't even bother with everything else. Sometimes I still look at friends snaps, but not really.

    Im at a CADCA event right now and just got the honor of meeting Alexander Nevilles mother, the women in the front of the lawsuit to Snapchat, she is an amazing women and it's so sad that she went through this i should her this video and shes so appreciated i hope the best for her

    At my school some lady came to our school and told us not to do drugs and all that had a friend who’s kid was on snap and something happend to him and he told his friend he wanted pain killers and some guy snuck into his chat/DM and there was gent in there and the mom went to wake him up and found him dead in bed.. Rest in Peace to him 🕊️🕊️

    One of my first memories about snapchat was when I was around 13-14, and my friend (14-15) got asked for nudes by some random guy. I remember our group chat just BLOWING up with worry, because yeah, we knew this happened to people, but we never thought it'd happen to one of us. I woke up my mom literally crying at 2am because I was so worried about it all. I'm honestly glad that happened, because a year later I would meet a man who STILL stalks me to this day, and I can't imagine what would've happened if I had snapchat at that time.

    Pretty much all social media says 13 and up. It's not because they're necessarily targeting minors specifically but they legally can not retain records of people 12 and under by privacy laws.

    I don't believe the speed filter cause these accidents because, like… the phone didn't hold a gun to their heads or anything like that??? Maybe just don't go 117+ miles per hour, you piece of shit??? Disgusting PEOPLE, not filter. Not that I'm defending Snapchat or anything though, the entire app is the stupidest thing ever to be developed before TikTok

    I wanna start this by saying im not defending anything else snap did they did alot of really messed up stuff but for the speed filter thats on the people speeding and recording they need to take accountability the app aint make you speed they were speeding anyway snap just let the dumbasses show off more what they already did personally accountability is important and i see more people blaming website and apps over what they did themselves

    my longest snap streak is at 3,194 days. i’ve /never/ even heard of the “heads up” page, even though i’ve opened the app every day for many years. especially crazy bc i actively seek out info like that to share bc my brother died from fent. it doesn’t seem like they tried very hard at all with that.

    This is the first of your videos I've seen; I wanted to wish you a speedy recovery (I'm not sure what your illness is)!!

    I've seen a couple of videos about Snap, but yours is the most recent I've clicked. Good work! I learned some stuff I hadn't heard yet.

    Honestly, I hate Snap. I'm a Millennial, but it always threw me that the messages disappeared so fast. Like, damn, what was the chat about? I'll never know. People be gettin' real mad when you don't remember what has been said, and Snap made that an absolute nightmare for me. Did I accidentally click another app, and try to go back to look? Guess I don't get to know what was said.

    I had a bad experience recently with a neighbor stealing images off of my FB to sext young men with my images, and with her location on, on Snap. So, I've been paranoid that college aged guys in my neighborhood think I'm a lot spicier than I actually am… 😬😫 My neighbor is an unassuming 65 year old lady, so I didn't think having her over for tea one day would result in her confessing she has pretended to be my images online.. but it did. I had no proof, just her word (which she recanted), so no cops ever got involved. Needless to say, I never had tea with that neighbor everrrrr again. I blocked her on everything, and we hardly talk when we bump into each other. That's.. my Snapchat horror story.

    Something I think is worth mentioning when you say "they have some responsibility", they have all the responsibility. At no point should we allow companies to do anything that repeatedly causes harm. We've allowed the tech sector to do untold damage to our society, for what? To put dog ears on my picture? Was that worth the minors that were harmed.

    Like a vast score of people will hand wave and go 'its not that deep' but realistically it is, we constantly put profits before actual safety and stuff and its sickening that people will bend over backwards to say "no but I enjoy this thing, I don't care if it's harmful"

    I only used snapchat with two other people ever, one because it was a really easy way to track that I had dinner every day while I was fighting EDs and the other friend I added was me failing to talk to a crush as usual lol :3
