I don’t particularly like zoos as a whole but there’s no doubt that well run reputable zoos with successful vulnerable species breeding programmes are acting as a genetics buffer between some species and the very real threat of their extinction. I just wish that zoos had the space to give wide ranging species the room they so badly need. It is a pity though that zoos don’t act more like sanctuaries. It can’t be pleasant for the majority of the animals having to put up with so much noise & visual disturbance every single day for hours & hours. Lockdown must have been a breath of fresh air for them with just the keepers there. Would you like to be held captive in small spaces with another big species & they’re kids staring at you, following your everyl move and making an unrelenting cacophony of noise ?

maybe they born in snow that's why the legs are spread if they walk they'll be in the snow that's why spreading legs help to walk in snow

That poor baby leopard has been so inbred she can barely walk. Just goes to show that humans don't take care of animals any better than nature does.
