Then there's the 'D-mn if you do, d-mn if you don't' people out there, TheraminTrees did a good video on that topic. So no matter what you do, someone is going to hate you for just breathing the wrong way

It is really hard to let go of the old friends who don't have the same interest as you anymore, but if you don't, you will end up being like them and loose yourself. that is the price you have to pay.

Thanks for this video. I've been searching for a platform , a person , or something to resonate my thoughts about my natural curiosity about religion ,death, consciousness for soooo long. And for that I had wear a mask in public. I kinda thought I lost my true self but really thank you for helping me rediscover it

When I was in high school I read a lot of manhwa, the story about witch and stuff. I always like how they portray the 'witch' as someone strong even though people hate them, want them die. Several years later, never I thought that I and people like me would be the witch. People calls us devil, satan, cult, must be killed. When in fact a lot of us just want to live an ordinary live. Few people brings terror, but society label all of us the same. They witch hunt us everyday. Not much physical attack yet, but who knows what will happen in the future. Sometime I ask myself, should I change myself to be the same as society, so they will accept me? But my heart always says no. How could I trade something that genuinely made my heart feel peace, with the things that people want? Then How about myself, do I want to live in fake happiness? So right now, I'm trying to build the courage to be disliked. Even if I'm different, as long as I feel my action don't harm anyone, why should I be scared. Sometime my mind still lost the battle with anxiety. So I want to remember that, even if I die someday bc of those things, I will call it a win, means I don't have to live in this world for too long.

I've always known you're hiding a lot, but you don't want to worry or disappoint others.
I don't fully understand your pain. But I'm willing to listen, to accompany you, and the moment you decide to speak, I'm willing to open my arms and embrace you. No criticism, no urging, just acceptance.
You're not a bad person. You've just been hurt too much, and haven't been protected for too long. You're so caring, yet you've never allowed yourself to be truly embraced. You can take your time. You can hold back. Or you can start by dreaming, dreaming of a world where you don't have to act, don't have to be good, and don't have to say "I'm fine." Let's build that world together, okay?

I agree that it is important for one to be capable of being disliked. However, my view on personal exclusion is that open communication is far better than gossip and ostracization, so I disagree with the sentiment that gossip is good for society.

There are other reasons someone might chose not to participle besides wanting others to do the work for them. By using open communication, you can discover the reason why someone is not to participate.

They might already be worried about what others think of them, and being left out can reinforce the belief that they don't deserve to be authentic, social anxiety can be crippling, even for hyper intelligent people (please don't conclude that I think I am hyper-intelligent; I don't believe I am. Hyper-creative? Very likely. Hyper intelligent? Not yet.) They might not understand the task, or they might lack the skills to do their part. If someone is worried about what others think of them, speaking with them could make them more comfortable and encourage them to participate more. If they don't understand the task, working with them to learn what is needed and what can be done would likely help the group as a whole – we are always stronger in numbers, and bringing another up to your level is better than cutting them out and being down by 1.

I actually believe that ostracization is one of the main factors for the mass neurosis in society today. When someone feels that they are being pushed down by society it can cause self-doubt, which leads to anxiety, depression, etc.

💡 The Courage To Be Disliked isn’t about rejecting others, it’s about choosing yourself. ✨
When you dare to stand in your truth, you discover freedom no approval can ever give. 🌱
Courage means living authentically—even if not everyone understands. 🌟

We care greatly because of conditioning to survive as a child in the family dynamics however this behavior is inadequate and self destructive in adulthood.
