Prosecuting War Crimes in Ukraine | ENDEVR Documentary

Watch ‘Inside Russia: How Putin’s Propaganda Machine Works’ here: https://youtu.be/avJsCcdVR_k

When Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, the Ministry of the Interior and Justice created a new division to investigate possible war crimes and crimes against humanity. By early June, the Prosecutor’s office had documented over 14,000 alleged Russian war crimes, identified more than 600 suspects, and initiated proceedings against around 80 individuals. This marks the first time that investigations into war crimes, crimes against humanity, or genocide have been conducted during an ongoing conflict. The priority is to quickly establish who committed which acts, where, when, and under whose orders. This approach also counters Russian propaganda by ensuring that evidence is collected immediately, preventing these crimes from being forgotten as happened in Grozny and Syria.

The investigations follow prosecutors, forensic experts, and cyber police through three specific cases: the rape of two women in Berestyanka by Russian soldiers; a cluster bomb attack in Kharkiv that killed 10 people, including an eight-month-old baby, and wounded 37 others; and the launching of 240 missiles along with the occupation of Kozacha Lopan village near Kharkiv, with two soldiers accused of firing 80 missiles. These cases demonstrate how war crimes units build strong cases for both the Ukrainian justice system and the International Criminal Court by gathering evidence, finding witnesses, identifying perpetrators, and pursuing justice.

It is truly heartbreaking and brings about a despisement of the greedy Oligarchy such as Trump and Putin, both of which could stop this war if they wanted

The russian fascists should pay the fullest possible price for their barbarous genocidal aggression, they should undergo denazification and demilitarization, and pay the indemnities, not only to Ukraine , but to all nations who suffered as a result of their wars.

Let's discuss this without the emotions: In a war, if an Army intentionally kills civilians, the intention is Genocide.
And I grew up with Lawyers around me, and I can attest that Lawyers sometimes talk too much for the sake of just talking!

Listening to Reed Brody at 54:57 makes me so angry. This IS in fact genocide. Why would we believe anything he says when he says "The Ukraine" when he can't even speak properly? It's NOT "The Ukraine". It's UKRAINE. That's like saying "The France", "The Germany" or "The Russia". If you can't speak properly, then you have no right to talk about the crimes being committed against Ukraine and it's brave defenders.
