I bought the Beatles Mono boxed set on CD, but I wish I had also purchased the LP Mono set as well when I had the chance.

My choice of regret would be Vangelis: Delectus. It is astronomical in price now. 😢

I have 5 of the Dylan Bootleg boxes (the big ones) with his latest on order. Of these the best, to my surprise, turned out to be Trouble No More that covers his Christian period. That said, they are all excellent.

I knew you were going to say Fillmore West 1969 as soon as you said the name Grateful Dead. I have the 3 disc compilation. Big regret. The clarity of the recordings are amazing. I did collect quite a few Dylan bootleg series. Well worth it.

You can still get the complete Sgt Pepper's 4Cd and DVD/Blu-Ray set on the Australian Amazon site for A$205 or on the UK site for £121. Strangely I didn't see it on the US site, so that's a bit odd.

I think you may be referring to "Uriah Heep – Time of Revelation" (1996) . 4 CD's and a 60 page booklet. At the time of release, a treasure trove of rare and unreleased recordings, period relevant tracks have since been heavily mined for the many reissues of the classic albums. Early copies also have "Uriah Heap" on the spine and refer to their first bass player as "Paul Newman".

I regret not buying a Genesis box set which has a live recording of The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. I still see myself in a store holding it in my hand about twenty-five years ago but didn't want to spend the money to buy it.
I regret selling my Bob Dylan Biography box set, as well as a nice Woodstock one with songs not featured performances not featured in the film. But unfortunately in times of economic hardship eating and paying bills overshadowed music.

I wish I had bought the Big Star box set that came out several years ago. I'd read that it had a DVD with the only recorded live footage of the band onstage. I held it in my hands at my local ( now long gone) F.Y.E. store and put it back on the shelf. Oppps!

About the only one I can think of at the moment is "In Search Of Hades (The Virgin Recordings 1973-1979)" by Tangerine Dream (steven wilson remixes). The original price was too steep for me when it came out, so I waited for it to come down in price. I think I was waiting for it to get under $120, but I might have been holding out for it to be under $100. Whatever it was, the price for a new unopened set did come down under the price I wanted, but by that time I didn't have enough spare money to buy it. And by the time I did have the money, the price had gone much higher.
Another one is the "Chicago Quadio Box" [9 disc blu-ray audio] by Chicago, although that's another one where the price was always higher than what I wanted to spend for a collection of albums that I already owned.
I have a few of the "bootleg" sets from Bob Dylan. There are several that I skipped and out of those there are one or two which I wished I had picked up, but at the moment I can't remember the specific titles.
I love Marillion's album named "Marbles", and I wish I had been among the people who pre-ordered the deluxe version of that. I do have the double-CD version, but not the original release and my name isn't in any booklets for it.

I've been trying to redeem myself for some of the ones I missed the first time. But the Genesis ones I really wished I bought, and kept the one I had that had everything from trick of the tail to self titled I think.

I don't really have ay specific box sets I wished I would have purchased but I do hope to see expanded editions of Under Wraps, Grace Under Pressure and Creatures of The Night. Maybe get the rest of the Sabbath collection in super deluxe editions.

The only one of these I can comment on is Uriah Heep's 50 Years In Rock. Musically this really is the dogs gonads and at the time of release, was fantastic value. But I have to say, fantastic value for the music only. For me the packaging isn't anything to shout about. Most of the albums are two to a CD with the covers being attempts to combine the two sleeve designs in one image. Blecch.
That said, if they had gone down the route of the excellent Blue Oyster Cult and Cheap Trick boxsets and splashed out on repo sleeves I might not have been able to afford it at all!
Know what you are buying it for and you won't be disappointed.
The gold standard for boxsets though has to be Ian Hunter's Stranded In Reality. As an artifact it's a thing of beauty and the music more than matches the design.

I really REALLY WISH, I bout that huuuge Uriah Heep box set as well. I also really REALLY WISH, I got that Unburied Treasure box set by Gentle Giant. They were both too pricey though for my abilities
