After the success of The Mandalorian, Disney+ and Lucasfilm have been churning out new Star Wars content like crazy, with lots more on the way. So it makes sense that they wanted to make a show about a badass bounty hunter in Mandalorian armor, because, well, that seemed to work well the first time? Thus, everyone’s favorite bounty hunter from the original trilogy is back in The Book of Boba Fett.

The Book of Boba Fett does raise some questions though. Like did he or did he not come out of the Sarlac Pit with his armor? Why isn’t this crime lord committing any crimes? Why did that one dude do such a weird spin move in the middle of a battle? Did this just because season 2.5 of The Mandalorian?!

To answer all these questions and more, step inside the Pitch Meeting that led to The Book of Boba Fett! It’ll be super easy, barely an inconvenience.

I genuinely hate that Boba made it out of the sarlacc pit. As a kid I was fascinated by this creature that's supposed to never let anyone escape.

Looking back, this series was such a waste. At least in Ahsoka and Obi Wan there were important closures. They didn't know what to do with the series they literally crammed in two Mandalorian season 3 episodes to fill it up. This series could've been like the Godfather or Sopranos of star wars much like the mandalorain was the spaghetti western

You gloss over the most infuriating thing. Boba Fett is a bad guy. People like that about Boba Fett. The Mandalorian is a morally-gray-turned-outright-good version of Boba Fett. To make a show about Boba Fett and turn him into a good guy is not only redundant, it's nothing people want.

It's like making a Voldemort TV show where (assuming Voldemort fans exist and wanted that) we would all expect to see him be evil and shit, but in the first minute you explain he went through some shit and he's now basically Hermione.

    It's cowardly, it's bullshit, and it's pointless.

When they rode in on those Vespas I paused and said to my wife that I feel like we’re in back to the future 2, and not in a good way. Same for that stupid twirl the guy did before firing his gun… such dumb choreography

The show not being based on boba was kinda dumb. Mando had his show before boba though boba was in the originals. So instead of calling it book of boba, call it something like the star wars tales. Also, i was very disappointed when they had cad bane in the show. They didnt do him justice to his true character

Has Disney won a price for making the worst ever Star Wars series from anyone? If not they are supreme champions of the galaxy. Disney, how to turn gold into pure dog shit.

80% of the joy of this is producer guy following the narrative and asking narrative questions and then receiving financial answers that don’t answer the narrative concerns at all and then the producer always accepts the financial answer and says of course please proceed.

The only good thing about this show were the parts with Mando but than it turns out that those scenes were just a setup for a Mando Season 3 that was actually worse than this show.

I’ll have to defend the spin move real quick. If you rewatch the clip, you’ll see a blaster hit the wall behind them. Specifically that blaster bolt would’ve hit the cyborg fella.

Book of Boba Fett made me think of some kid's pirate animation show which in some episode has the moral lesson that "pirates don't steal". That's pretty much this Boba Fett: "crime bosses obey the law and try to get along with people".
