“Untrue” is an incredible record, front to back. Without doubt, one of the best bloody electronic albums. In terms of its feel, it’s unrivalled. Just grimy, rain-soaked London streets at nighttime. So gorgeous, man.
@fleakletheotter
October 11, 2024 at 8:09 pm

Burial, Skream and Benga are why I fucking adore classic dubstep.
@guilhermecavalcante8093
October 11, 2024 at 8:09 pm
I wouldn't call SILY by The Avalanches a slept-on album. It's been pretty popular and influential since its release. Same for Justice's Cross. D.A.N.C.E was a staple at MTV back then. You'd hear it all the time
@petarmaksimovic4048

@StiofanGaillimh
October 11, 2024 at 8:09 pm
Listen to pretty much all of these. Burials untrue album is lethal. As mentioned in another comment chemical brothers, prodigy, massive attack etc deserve an honorable mention. Leftfield is another one I think deserves a mention, and one of my favs (along with aphex twin) the future sound of London 👌.
@jeremybean-hodges6397
October 11, 2024 at 8:09 pm
The Avalanche's most recent album – We Will Always Love You – is also an absolute masterpiece.
@LeMassiveNoob
October 11, 2024 at 8:09 pm
Gonna be honest, but many of these picks felt quite surface level. Of course they are all great albums, but not adding anything from the 70s/80s, like Kraftwerk's The Man Machine or Jean-Michel Jarre's Oxygene did make the electronic music nerd in me a bit sad.
Also, no Boards of Canada? Massive Attack? Orbital? Caribou? And that's just mentioning a few.
@Albanez39
October 11, 2024 at 8:09 pm
No idea who these artists are except of The XX. Find some real electronic music please…
