Much respect for all of em. As a 50 year old I just released my 1st full album and it's so difficult. I have a new respect for all that goes into this now. I started with my heaviest project to called expiration ad, and I'm like amazed at what it takes just to record something must less put it out at these professional bands levels. I honestly think I didn't even get close but that does give it a kind of honest flavor to the music at least.

Yes, Converge own this year! BTW, I'm a doom girl, but also not into Warning. I appreciate its unique sonic despair, but it's too weepy, lacking the darkness & heaviness, which I adore in doom metal.

Love is Not Enough is a solid output by Converge that blends well in their catalog but Hum of Hurt has this cohesive rawness and grit that runs throughout it that makes it stand apart from all their other albums.

Ok, there's some stuff here I was not aware of that I'm going to have to check out. Even though I did a lot of relistens this month, there were some insanely good albums I heard this month as well. Here are my favorites of the month.
    1. Genghis Tron – Signal Fire (cybergrind/mathcore/electronica/dream pop/emo)
    2. Goreworm – Miasmic Solitude (technical melodic death metal/brutal death metal/progressive death metal)
    3. Quiet Fear – La Tierra Arriba / El Abismo Abajo (screamo/post-hardcore/grindcore)
    4. Vithial – Awakened Ancient Spirits (melodic black metal/melodic death metal)
    5. Lumen Ad Mortem – A Grave Ascent (atmospheric black metal)
    6. Stormkeep – The Nocturnes Of Iswylm (symphonic black metal)
    7. Fires in the Distance – Circadian Promise (melodic death-doom/melodic death metal)
    8. Converge – Hum of Hurt (metallic hardcore/sludge metal)
    9. Khemmis – Khemmis (doom metal/heavy metal)
    10. Temple Guard – Citadel in Flames EP (metallic hardcore/death metal)

I listened to that Olivia Rodrigo album cause a friend recommended it. I said I’d listen to it if she checked out Nightfall in Middle Earth (she likes LOTR). Gotta say, I didn’t expect it to be a win-win scenario, but here I am

    Hey mate!
June… what a month. Picking just three releases out of so much quality and variety is no easy task, but here goes:
    1. Fires in the Distance – Circadian Promise: One of the finest and most elegant bands active today. Their third full-length is yet another breathtaking display of their sheer brilliance.
    2. Saidan – Fangdriller: An album that pushes Melodic Black Metal to astonishing new heights of craftsmanship and creativity.
    3. Véhémence – Assiégé pour l'éternité: Couldn't agree more.
    Cheers mate!

Nunslaughter released one of the best albums of the year. Definitely one of our favorites🔥.

Maybe our new album, wich is coming this september, will be something for you😉🤘

Dude this is my first time on your channel and I haven't even started watching this video, but immediately I wanna say – you have a KILLER mask. This is awesome!!! I'm subscribing automatically because of this sick skull mask 🤘

Also Khemmis is great, I loved their new album! I only discovered them recently. They definitely experimented more with this album, it's a deviation from their usual sound. Their previous albums were like 100% doom metal, but the new album sounds more like melodic death metal mixed with elements of doom (like vocals and riffs). My OG metalhead dad is of the same opinion. We all respect Khemmis in this house 🤘

I fully expected you to not be into Warning's newest album. That's fine; I personally enjoyed it a lot. They do one trick of making sorrowful, cathartic, and plodding songs… but they do that one trick extremely well! I also really enjoyed Saidan and Khemmis.

Mr. MetalTrenches, where is Warning new album? I think you have said somewhere, that you are not into doom, but this record is on other level and I think it is a worth a listen even you if are not into doom.
