Just do the math: if a SHORT ad takes at least 30 seconds, then you could only watch 2 in a minute, which is 120 in an hour, which is 2,880 in a day—not even half of 6,000. And that’s if you ONLY watched ads ALL DAY LONG, EVERYDAY.
It may be that a person is “exposed” to a few thousand “ads” per day—like small ads that are placed in 5 to 10 places on a webpage. Maybe 10 ads get loaded, but you don’t actually watch them. Consciously, people only notice a few dozen ads in a day.
