Any chance of you ever doing a full video on Bitwig, or, better yet, comparing it to FL Studio? Would love to see that!

Compressor on/off comparison doesn't seem very useful if you don't LUFS match it… Everything sounds better when it's louder.

Thanks for the video.
Looks like Phase Plant is more like LION and Multipass like TRIAD.
So my classification:
Bitwig Grid = Phase Plant = LION
Bitwig Grid FX = Multipass = TRIAD = Melda MXXX
Meanwhile Serum & Pigments2 kinda fall into the non-modular VST synth category.
Am I misunderstanding something?

What would you say is the best software to use with a modular setup? I have zoom h6 and beatstep pro for IO

the background song at 10:47 sounded familiar, but not a version of a flashbulb song i'd heard before, knew it must be a remix… (potentially to avoid the youtube takedown/de-monetisation algorithms?) I couldn't put my finger on the title, but sounded like something from one of his early albums, so I scrolled through his albums on my computer reading the song names (not listening to them) until i read 'Beaker Sunset' and instantly knew that was the song without pressing play! I haven't listened to that album in ages but I love how our brains make these unexplainable connections in our memory between sounds and song/album titles! 😀

Lack of gain compensation in compressor tests is a kind of snake oil by itself=)) By the way, Massive X = doesn't worth mention at all? Thank you, I love your reasonable self confidence and humour. Cheers!

I love seeing all the new stuff that comes out but find it's futile chasing after it all, it's easy to get lost in new stuff when I can be loads more productive with the stuff I already own and know well.

Really good list. I have all of them and feel like I have everything I need and want. I was an alpha tester for Bitwig 3 and love that musicians and sound designers I respect are starting to see how powerful it is.

This underscores a continuing issue with me, which is an overabundance of owned plugins not fully explored. I got Pigments out of the gate and never went farther than reproducing more or less what I could do with Serum with a what I xonsidered to be an even friendlier approach to wavetable. Did I have any idea it could do generative like this? No. Thanks, Benn.
