This VST plugin, The Stereo Sound Extractor, is BADASS -I coded it up from over 10 year’s hard research. It won awards. Now you can own it for the paltry sum of $29. Yup, I’m basically giving it away: https://burninguitfiddle.gumroad.com/l/rbiuu

"Touch Myself" was the culmination of a very successful career in Australia for the Divinyls.
Chrissy Amphlett's legacy will live on, following her passing.
Any of the Divinyls albums from the early 80's are recommended listening.

I saw a picture of Christina back in the day and I was like eh..
Then I saw the video for 'I touch myself' and I was in lust with her until the day she died.

Does anyone else remember this video giving them an odd sensation during the days before puberty? Like I got the idea of it but didn't understand the mechanics of it all.
Great choice for an upload, I never would've thought to cover the band, so as usual with your channel, I'm learning a lot. Thanks.

It depends on where in Texas you play. In Austin, Dallas or Houston anything goes. Central Texas is a different vibe altogether. A very interesting state to visit.

I really enjoy your channel I was wondering if you ever thought about doing a video of a band I thought was awesome when I was younger called Circus Of Power.

A little bit later: NO, NOT THAT SONG! I HATE THAT SONG! WAAAAH!

I really crushed on her with my limited exposure to her. Pre-internet cave man times I only saw her on MYV and knew nothing except how magnetic she was, and those lips……

“The fingering song band”. This could be the greatest description of a musical artist that I’ve ever heard.
@Oldboy..
May 11, 2026 at 12:41 am
That's messed up that they just wouldn't let dude tour after she passed. I agree that it takes two to tango but they tried to tour again and it didn't work, kinda makes you wonder. But it's not hard to make new music. Kind of a sad story.

I remember seeing them on MTV in the early 80s well before "I Touch Myself". Not my style of music, but still a really good band. Great video! Keep 'em coming! 🤘

I loved I Touch Myselfin 1997.Great song beautiful video but never knew anything else from then. Then 5 years ago I discovered their other stuff – Siren, Good Die Young, Make Out ALright….excellent tunes. Finding old songs that are new to me is my favorite genre….

I only knew the Divinyls for that one song, and had no idea they had an entire back catalogue. Also didn't know they were Australian. This was a very interesting video. RIP Christina.

I'm English, and my Australian cousin told me about them in the late 80s, and I was hooked from there , fast forward a few years, and I was in Melbourne just as amphlette lane was opened so, we paid a visit which made my time there that little bit better. Chrissy was a true talent and a sad loss to the music industry.

You are like the ultimate campfire storyteller. I am actually a tri citizen of three different countries. You remind me of a Canadian interviewer named Brian Linehan. People used to joke that he knew more about celebrities than they knew about themselves. You should watch some of his interviews. Very interesting chap. But you have a lot more personality than Brian.

Saw Divinyls live a couple of times in the 90s. So much energy, and her dangerous brand of sexuality oozed off the stage. Wild concerts. True Aussie rockers of the old school.
