I don't think I heard that Goosebumps intro since I was a kid. Logically speaking this movie looks wacky with those gorilla-like costumes (and especially with your commentary), but combined with that intro I am now actually properly anxious 😂 I think Goosebumps must have really scared me as a child and this video unlocked the memories 😂

Hi Roses! I just watched a two parter episode of Goosebumps from season four entitled “Cry of the Cat”. I think it’d be a good episode to review, mostly because of a scene towards the end of the second episode.

I always had nightmares about this episode for some reason it had to deal with a, depressed clearing in the woods. I would hide the tapes of this episode, so my sister couldn’t play them because she liked to play the tapes to scare me because she knew I was scared of them.

This is one of the few episodes I consider good. The others are Welcome to Camp Nightmare, The Haunted Mask duology and Shocker on Shock Street (except for the ending).

I remember reading this as a kid! The last line of the book, something about the wolf “burying its teeth into my chest” or something still sticks with me, especially because it’s written in first person.

I think I like the show's ending more. It's not scary but feels like it has better planting and payoff. I don't always view the endings to Goosebumps as being a scary twist, just a twist of some kind.

Your comment about wolf skin B.O. got me thinking, are the skins machine washable? Do they have to hand wash them with soap and hang them on a line? Are they dry clean only? Personal hygiene must be hard for a werewolf.
