Texas Early Voting Delivers SHOCKING Turnout as State Breaks Records | Senate Map Breakdown

The TEC Show | October 21, 2026

Texas early voting is delivering shocking turnout, with Dallas County reporting a first-day record that surpassed its 2024 presidential-election opening. In this 2026 Senate map breakdown, we examine what the early voting numbers reveal and why the Texas race could matter in the battle for Senate control.

We look at Dallas County’s turnout, historical comparisons, and voters explaining their choices between James Talarico and Ken Paxton. Strong participation is an important development—but who benefits, and can that momentum continue through Election Day?

Then we explore different Senate map scenarios involving Texas, North Carolina, Maine, Ohio, Alaska, Iowa, and Kansas. See how different combinations of wins and losses could change the majority, and why competitive races elsewhere remain crucial to either party’s path.

We also examine VoteHub’s modeled mail-ballot estimates, voter demographics, and age breakdowns. These estimates offer information about the early electorate; they are not counted candidate votes or final election results.

Which matters more when evaluating Texas right now: the turnout comparisons, polling, or the makeup of early voters? Share your reasoning in the comments.

More than 200,000 votes have been cast in Harris county after just 2 days of early voting. The turnout remained high on the second day of voting with 99,911 votes. On Monday 104,000 votes were cast and that pulverized the old record for a midterm of 63,000 from 2018.

Problem is Dems are NOT voting and the numbers are low for Dems. GOP has a higher turn out by far. This is a blood bath for Dems. We looked at about 5-6 states actual vote and Dems are low in vote count and GOP is higher, sorry but Dems are losing.

I’ve commented before. You’ve mentioned at times about Collins outperforming her polls

I’ll come at you differently this
    time

We all seem to agree Maine is not a red state it’s blue right ?

For her to win she needs a good amount of cross over democrat support and indies . What share is she getting now ?
I know either will be way out side the MOE. If she is not getting close to what she got when she won… then she isnt going to win this time

Texas Talarico needs indies, Hispanics, some cross over etc he needs more since its a red state and he seems to be getting it

In MI. The blue wall seems to turn blue or red in presidential years depending upon who wins the election. mic, wis, pa have either all gone red or all gone blue. This is a blue year for midterms so it’s more likely mi is close but goes blue could be 2-4 %.

There should be greater focus on Cost of Living in the U.S.than whose side you come down on in the war between Israel and Gaza. That is why you have the ICJ(INTERNATIONAL COURT OF JUSTICE)So Americans can focus on what's happening in their own country.America has already played their part in the war and started other wars that according to experts are driving UP gas prices.
