Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974) Location Tour
James Rolfe and the crew head deep into Texas to visit the REAL locations from The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974). They visit the gas station, Bagdad Cemetery, the original location of the Sawyer house, and the actual house that was moved to Kingsland and turned into Hooper’s Restaurant. Along the way, James matches shots from the movie, digs into the history of each location, and tracks down some of the lesser-known details behind one of the most iconic horror movies ever made.

interested in the shot from within the truck when it hits the hitchhiker, how did they do it? seems the sort of shot we'd do by reversing the frames but we have sally running away in the shot. how did they shoot that without it being incredibly dangerous? hmmm

Would be cool to see more location tours from other movies in the future (not only horror movies) like Back to the future, Terminator and much more…

I can FEEL the heat out there! Now for 'A Nightmare on Elm Street', 'Halloween', 'Friday the 13th', and 'Child's Play'! I love that the Thompson and Doyle houses look so much alike, and they're only a couple of blocks away from each other:):)

Great stuff James! Interesting video showing the locations from then and now. I showed my wife this movie for the first time two months ago and she felt it was disgusting, but she loved it. Can’t wait to show her your video.

The part where Leatherface cuts his leg with his chainsaw was pretty real. They used a real chainsaw with a real blade that sliced a beef steak under his pants with a metal plate underneath that.

Loved this! One tiny thing you forgot to mention though is how after she jumps out of the window to make her final escape, she hits the ground and then when you see her get up, she suddenly has dark brown hair for some reason lmao.
