I played MMM by Reed in a pub once at the end of the night hoping it would piss people off and they'd leave…it didn't work..

I agree neil youngs americana is not great but it is far better than
Landing on water
Fork in the road
A letter home
Reactor.
If i wanted a real neil young stinker i would have gone for one of these 4.

I have to disagree strongly about the Van Morrison album. To those of us who sniffed out the Covid scam early and were sick of being treated like criminals, his courageous lyrics were a gift in very dark times.

I know I'm a big Dylan fan because I like Knocked Out Loaded even though it is so spotty. For me, there is something special on every one of Dylan's "bad" albums. Brownsville Girl is epic! I even like They Killed Him.
Dirty Work isn't great, but there are some gems: Too Rude, Hold Back. The problem I have with the album is that Jagger is yelling too much throughout it, which becomes a little fatiguing to my ear.
And honestly, I like MMM, especially side 3. And why? I'm not sure but I hear some beauty in some of the sounds. But I don't torture myself with it like Lester Bangs did. I 100% understand why people think it is shite!
Love the video!

Despite 'Comfortably Numb', it would be The Wall by Pink Floyd. As a huge Floyd fan, I detest this album.

Want to say, that 80's wasn't good decade for most of the bands and artists who started in 60's & 70's…

Dirty Work and Hot Space are not terrible albums! LOL! If Dirty Work was terrible i wouldn't have purchased it on lp and cd (original and remastered) and they are all USA releases too. SMH!

I was digitizing albums today and pulled out "Truce" by Jack Bruce and Robin Trower. Not terrible but really weak songs and production.

Also, Queen's early (pink colored) album, titled, "Queen" is great, heavy, rock music. They sort of lost me after that.

Agree on most points except: Zappa (instrumental) song, "Sexual Harassment in the Workplace" is a phenomenal blues tune; The Who: They have some great tunes off Tommy, Quad, Odds n Sods, Who's Next, but tons of songs I never want to hear again; Chili Peppers: love most of their early '90s stuff, after that, not so much; Radio Head: Love The Bends and OK Comp (also live in Astoria is superb)…my 2 cents.

Apparently Kirk Hammett felt useless during the recording of St. Anger because there were no guitar solos and that's literally his job

Hot Space by Queen is still better and more entertaining than Coldplay’s entire catalog.

Mardi Gras by CCR also could have made this list.

Pilgrim was a good album, in my opinion: I thoroughly enjoyed it. One of my favorite songs by him–she's Gone–is on there. Totally disagree!😧

The last couple of albums by Bon Jovi have been absolute stinkers. Especially that new one. Where’s the rock??!
