Funny, I think Brad was called Brad in the Paully Shore movie Son-In-Law, too. Not sure, though; in Son-In-Law, he plays the guy this Brad would eventually grow up to be, a dude who peaked in high school.

I have 2 older sisters, this movie was played often enough in our youth. Every now and then, Top That pops into my head and I always thought it was from another 80s movie: Dream A Little Dream haha Might have to rewatch this with my lady friend who was a 90s kid and probably has no idea what this movie is.

    And shepherds you shall be
Do the Boondocks Saints’s for Thee my Lord, for thee.
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand
That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command to so the Boondocks Saints.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee
And teeming with souls shall it ever be.
In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti."

I had antenna TV as a kid in the late 80s/early 90s and this was one of the movies I watched. "I wanna be the most popular girl" and "top that" I still remember 35 years later 🤣

Ah yes 1989… I was just starting high school, Robyn Lively was my introductions to redheads… and yeah… puberty was definitely something difficult to navigate.

I’m from a small, mostly white town and I can absolutely confirm we had the white wanna-be gangstas & rappers way back then and it was just as cheesy & out of place.

Teen Witch and Teen Wolf were two of my favorite movie as a kid. Watched this constantly on HBO and tried to force my kids to watch it last year. They were so bored and annoyed, but cracked up at how stupid the rap was and that I still knew the words to it 😂

You are seriously hitting all my favs lately. I would sing top that with my cousins. It was cringe even then but it was fun to sing. I knew popular girl, finest hour, and I like boys but those were only ones you sing while watching the movie.

“A new witches powers are weak, sometimes water is all it takes to undo”-paraphrasing….so Miranda’s cousin prolly reappeared shortly, or once it started raining and Kiki prolly took a shower and was fine. 😅
