Great coin conversation. Seth's comments about science were especially interesting, and I think he's a pragmatist at heart. It was interesting to hear him talk about his philanthropy in the medical science field as "throwing things at the wall" because you never know what's going to work, but then later, during the discussion about politics, saying that we should agree on science. We just came through an historic event where the government used "science" as a weapon to control, literally every thing in our lives( more so depending on what state you lived in). Debating science is critically important. We now know for certain that much of the "science" the government forced down our throats, and into our veins in many cases, was complete garbage. I appreciate Ted and Seth's commitment to the environment, but they have to realize that much of the "global warming science" has been proven to be junk. That's why they stopped using the term. That being said, there are many issues about protecting the environment all sides can agree on.

Oh man, Captain Picard as a crowning example of heroโ€™s and optimism we need right now, so on point.

Especially given that when Picard first got to the enterprise he was grumpy and didnโ€™t even like children (despite the flagship of the fleet having many families); seeing that character change and warm and evolve beyond just a cold calculating Captain (both in script but also as Stewart developed the character) makes for a better example than most.

Also tldr; get Pat Stew in for an Orville season 4 cameo roleโ€ฆwould be epicโ€ฆ.

Holy crap, Mcfarlane got his start on Jonny Bravo and Dexterโ€™s!?

Surely he knows people still cosplay Johnny Bravo at cons to this day (the black dude who does it is hilarious).

From 55:20 he was talking about LA but without a doubt the reality is globally the same. To much negativity and the passive aggressive way of doing media, music, movies etc. Young people and kids have no way of escape the misery we are presenting them.
We all should do soooo much better! Not just Hollywood, but everyone in every sector and in all socials environments.

That was a really great conversation.

I really miss The Orville. I may have had small problems with the show from time to time but it usually made me feel good.

I'm so glad that you're still trying to get season 4 out there for the Orville. That show had everything, humor, action and hope. It was, and is what's needed now.

Seth MacFarlane always slanders, attacks, and spews hate at ANY other shows/movies/people that are more popular, successful, and beloved than he himself will EVER be. Because he has absolutely zero talent or ability to make great art himself. While also having zero ability to be a truly good person.

The best youโ€™ll ever get out of MacFarlane is him just throwing a ton of money at a given problem and DESPERATELY hoping that thatโ€™s whatโ€™s going to make it go away.

This is really an outstanding interview. Ted Danson did a great job. I felt like the two of them really liked and related to one another. Very informative about who makes our intertainment in the 21st century.

You (students) weren't the only ones afraid of Bill Armstrong. The school year would start for faculty with an evening chapel service followed by opening faculty meeting. Headmaster would go through some remarks, then eventually open the floor for comments/questions &c. First one, every year: Bill would stand up, say "my name's Bill Armstrong. If your dog gets in with my sheep, I'll shoot your dog." And sit back down. (As told by Jim MacLeod, RIP.)

Unfortunately the people that voted for this administration have proven that they do not want to help people 3000 miles away, they think that Ukraine is stealing from them.

As someone who was a teenager when Family Guy first aired, I've followed Seth's career pretty close, and he's a generational talent for sure.
Star Trek never really clicked for me until I saw it through the lens of The Orville, which I adored. Still hoping that gets to continue!
Thanks for everything _so far_, can't wait to see what the next 30 years will bring – assuming we make it that far of course!

    I had hope, too.
Until I spent nearly two years trying to contact Seth on how he can make life worth living again for DISABLED MUSICIANS and ecery single letter I sent Fuzzy Door and Seth's reps went IGNORED JUST BECAUSE I ADMITTED I AM A DISABLED VETERAN. BOOM! Right in the trash, Seth just ignores my requests and won't even acknowledge my existence as a disabled person by saying NO. DISABLED PEOPLE have little hope in the world but I guess the only laughs Seth cares about are those on faces that bring him awards. I have no award to give the man who cares so little about people he can't even have a SETH MACFARLANE NEW ANIMATOR AWARD to give young people hope in the world, either. No scholarships, no musical instrument modification allowed for imperfect non-hollywood people. Everyone must wear toupees and fake veneers and fake tans, no real life people allowed to rear non-perfect heads in the presence of hollywood stars. Only they exist. Disabled people clearly don't. The next IRVING BERLIN is already here, but can't get a chance because he was born disabled. No one unwraps a package they feel is ugly. Seth won't find real love, or anything real since he won't recognize real people, just fake celebrity friends. I actually pity him, because at least I've been married and no real person actually loves him like that or ever will.

Man I really want SETH to approach Paramount and have SETH work to SAVE the STAR TREK franchise ๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ˜ข because their current offerings and proposed "ST Enterprise" revisit are AWFUL awful ideas ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ˜ข๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ˜ข SETH Please SAVE Star Trek , , as a TNG DS9 fan I'm begging you SETH , , ,๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐ŸŽ‰ and best wishes to all your current projects ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ––๐Ÿ˜ธ๐Ÿ––
