As someone who collects physical media my advice is just to buy a dedicated Blu-ray player

my job gave me a christmas gift that was an umbrella that linked to an app. the app had it's own social media beyond just telling you the weather and notifying you when you should bring the umbrella to work. i would've rather had the ungodly amount of money they must have spent on said umbrella than this crap

every time I watch this video I wonder why drew didn’t just connect one of his monitors to his ps5 and keep the rest connected to his computer and still watch the show and play RuneScape at the same time. I’m sure he has a reason I just don’t know it and am therefore curious.

I am using something called leawo which is a blu ray player that functions for free. Reddit will often jump to enthusiast software immediately and pretend nothing else exists.
Unfortunately weird kernel level licensing stuff in computers puts a whole boatload of restrictions on media you own (including changing locale so you can watch foreign dvds!?!! What?) so to sidestep this pain completely you would have to manually rip and reencode the files into a media that isn't designed to suck. That's the point where I stopped.

For anyone interested 7 years later, you can get a good blu ray player from goodwill for $5-$10, and movies are usually 10 for $3! 🙂

I’m sure somebody already explained it, but in regards to the league pass blackouts – the idea is that local TV stations who own broadcasting rights would go entirely extinct if streaming was allowed to “home” fans. It goes back to MLBs antitrust lawsuits back in the day.

this is why we sail the sea’s. no drew i’m not thinking “couldn’t you just put it in your ps5” IM THINKING COULDNT YOU WATCH IT ON YOUR SECOND OR FIRST MONITOR THROUGH ONIONPLAY OR ANY OTHER SITE THAT HAS EVERYTHING FOR FREE. granted the quality does usually kinda suck but you can find one that’s 1080P just make sure you have a free adblocker on

On a whim, I thought I'd play the Sims again, I went to Amazon and ordered several of the discs, they came in and I went to download the first first one….NOPE, had to also have 'Origin', which after searching the iternet found out it doesn't really exist any more. I abandoned that and decided to buy it through Steam, the base pack and several expansions. Went to play and NOPE, it's not working. I'm at my wits end and all I wanted to do is play a game! Technology now SUCKS!!
