Nice review considering you know nothing about it. You should have listened to some Drone/Doom/Funeral Doom before reviewing (in my opinion). It would contextualize your opinions in a better way and make it more eloquent. In the end, you say a lot but mean nothing. It's more than heavy, troll in a cave or satanic. Or maybe I'm too much into music too see it just as flat as you did. But aren't we all in a video about an music album? Anyway, I hope you guys work a little harder on understanding what an album is about before stating what an album is about.

Can you review last year's Deafheaven album "New Bermuda?" It would be another one of these where it's not normally your style of music, but it would be cool to hear your perspective on them. A lot of traditional metalheads hate them, but just as many find them to be a refreshing voice in the genre.

I got white2 by sunn o)), and it was so dark and atmospheric, and actually really soothing, I loved it
It almost seemed like the first track was… Well… Another gollum playing a huge guitar in a cave song, and then the rest seemed almost more like… Somewhat more of an atmospheric… Ambient/regular drone/noise album
    It was really soothing
And then there was the 3rd track on that which was Attila from mayhem doing clean spoken word… Chanting almost
But yeah I literally just closed my eyes and… Literally felt like I was in a trance with my headphones on
I really want to get some more sunn o)) now

If you're interested in hearing some drone-doom that brings a little more conventional bite to the table—and I love Sunn O))), but they are more about that ritualistic, hypnotic quality—I would recommend that you look into Khanate, particularly their self-titled and Things Viral. Truly brutal slow-burn records with some monstrous, tortured vocals and instrumental work with just the slightest hints of jazz and dub in the mixing style.

Once you "get" Sunn O))), once you figure out what the appeal can be, they're great. But this one is far from being their best. It's not a bad Sunn album, it's just an unremarkable Sunn album. If you kinda liked Kannon, try Monoliths & Dimensions.

I luv this band for quite some time.
Sam Dunn sounds like an amateur tells, you he has a dictatorship on the show. Anything outside his comfort level he will act like this…
Needs to be more black metal bands specially American.

Hey Sam! I really love your reviews and I think you're doing a great job up to the point I'm slightly euphoric every time I see a new episode of Overkill Reviews. (or anything from Banger TV for that matter) That being said, I recommend you listen to 'Monoliths & Dimensions' and 'Black One' to hear some of the better Sunn O))) material since I'm not the biggest fan of this record, yet I'm a big Sunn O))) fan. They've created far more mystical, abrasive and more overwhelming material in my opinion. Oh and, you should reconsider your rating system. I don't get the skulls at all, it would make a lot more sense if their were like, five skulls or something. Another option would be to leave the rating system out. Your fluent language and thorough understanding of metal music is, in my opinion, sufficient to understand where you're coming from. Anyways, keep up the great work man!

Sam, you are being too nice for your own good; look for yourself, the emperor has no clothes! This is not metal, not even music. I could bang my head on the floor for two straight hours and it wouldn't be music either. Not to be demeaning to the band or anything, but please! this is noise, pure and simple. And no, you don't HAVE to like it. Go back to the basics of the very definition of metal (or music for that matter), this doesn't pass the test in any way. Cheers from Ottawa.
