Indian Country Today | November 12, 2025

Indian Country Today’s daily newscast

On the Tuesday edition of the ICT Newscast, Hollywood is on strike — experts tell us what that means for Indigenous representation, and the disruption coming from Artificial Intelligence. Bobby Wilson shares more about his role in FX and Hulu’s ‘Reservation Dogs’

The third and final season of “Reservation Dogs” is airing now on FX and Hulu. Storylines have introduced to a general audience the dark history of boarding schools, as well as the humanity of survival. Actors and writers are not allowed to talk about the show during the Hollywood strike.

A few weeks ago, Bobby Wilson talked about this season and his work with the hit show.

Hollywood is on strike. And that walk out ranges from “Reservation Dogs” to projects that have yet to be produced. At a recent ICT forum in Santa Fe, DeLanna Studi and Liza Black talked about the strike and its impact on the Indigenous community. ICT’s Mark Trahant talks about the long-term implications.

If we the people, stopped consuming streaming content. Stopped atching media made from major studios, then they would have to give the people on strike the fair wages they are asking for

Labor Day is coming! Showcase some of the hardest working Natives you know so the kiddos see what it really means to be good to their community.

Thanks for the story on extras by Mark Trehand. As a member of Screen Extras Guild, I ran into what Mark talked about. One film I worked on in El Paso- they scanned each extra, the whole body scan- front and side views. I believe it was for “Day After Tomorrow“ about global warming. -Steve Bissell, elder and elected Peacemaker, Brothertown Indians of Wisconsin
