I have most of SH's blu rays and you are right about the Selling England set, the blu ray image is horrible and blurry. The Royal Festival Hall is the best for home viewing.

Decided I had most of the Genesis stuff on here that I wanted already on the Liverpool and Orchestral sets, and Liverpool has some great stuff from Acolyte. Some questions for those who have heard it.

    – He said all songs would be played in full, by which I presume he meant the opening to Firth of Fifth and all of The Musical Box (that closing section thing really annoyed me on the original).
    – The woodwind interlude on Cinema Show was replaced by a more ambient sort of thing on the original Seconds Out, was it played like that here?
    – Does I Know What I Like have the same extended instrumental section as on the original Seconds Out?

Interesting to note that having said he'd play all songs in full, he didn't do Visions of Angels, from which a short excerpt was played in the IKWIL instrumental section.

Also, where's Eleventh Earl of Mar and One for the Vine? I distinctly remember the former being part of the set but being dropped when we saw them in Liverpool because they were doing two shows that night – bloody annoying! They definitely played the latter. Oh, I see, playing the album not the set they toured, and I suppose the album was from two different tours, but it was mainly from the W&W tour, it would have been nice to see something in line with that.

I'm still pissed and confused why he skipped stopping in Vancouver on his last tour. I've seen him 3 times here dating back to 1980 and I was really looking forward to seeing him again. Wouldn't be surprised if it was Trudeau and his draconian Covid protocols. However, I think he did make 2 stops in Canada so idk.

Barry as much as i truly loved Steve's time in Genesis he did leave of his own free will as he wanted total control of his music & destiny & his first few solo albums were great but then for me he totally lost his way so then started raiding the Genesis music he left behind basically just to sell a ticket!! Nothing wrong with that i suppose but you don't see him release much live stuff of just his own solo career as lets face it nobody would buy it which begs the question…… Why did he leave the band to start with & as Phil said in 1977 he could've done everything he is doing now & stayed in the band!!

The Royal Albert concert was released on Blu-ray, but i believe it was part of a big box set. The Hammersmith (2013) was not released on Blu-ray, indeed.

Genesis Revisited: Live at Hammersmith – 2013

Genesis Revisited: Live at The Royal Albert Hall – 2014

The Total Experience Live In Liverpool – 2016

Wuthering Nights: Live in Birmingham – 2018

Genesis Revisited Band & Orchestra: Live at the Royal Festival Hall – 2019

Selling England by the Pound & Spectral Mornings: Live at Hammersmith – 2020

Genesis Revisited Live: Seconds Out & More – 2022

Always loved Steve's solo work as well as all Genesis especially the earlier albums. Personally I think there's been a bit too much focus on the Genesis songs in his live concerts. I'd prefer to hear more from the Guitar Noir – Darktown – Out Of The Tunnels Mouth era.

I might have reached saturation point with live Hackett sets, maybe if there is a stand alone blu ray release I'll go for it, already have many of these songs live already and don't need yet more cd's that I'll never play.

I was there at Manchester Apollo that night and it was indeed a great show!
It was the same night that the Genesis-The Last Domino tour also hit Manchester, but thankfully they did two nights, so I was able to attend both!

There is also a Blu-ray of Hackett and Co. performing in 2018 at the Royal Festival Hall. I believe you can still order it from his website.

It has a nice mix of songs from Selling England by the Pound, A Trick of the Tail and Wind and Wuthering, along with Supper's Ready and The Musical Box. Definitely worth getting.

I was front row at the Dundee leg of the tour and ordered the Blu-ray/CD set the day it went live. It was a magnificent show and I look forward to reliving it again in the comfort of my own home.

Hate to tell you mate but personally I cant get enough of Steve Hackett, I just saw him in Orlando in April 2022 and i was outstanding especially the venue was smaller and it was up closse, briliant. I will see him again and again and sometimes I liked him more than the original Genesis.
