One genre that's completely non-existent in Star Wars is adventure games. The kind that's about exploration and solving puzzles and not really fighting anything. There are puzzle games like Pit Droids and DroidWorks, but not adventure games, especially not text adventure games. Indiana Jones has them, so why not Star Wars? Why didn't we ever get any Star Wars games that ran on the SCUMM engine, perhaps where you play as C-3PO or R2-D2 relying on non-violent ways to solve problems? Because George Lucas insisted that Star Wars was an action franchise and not an adventure one.

Looking back after all these years, there is/was a way a Star Wars fighting game could have been amazing, and I raise the combat system of the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm series. The chakra dashing mechanic would fit force speed or using a jetpack so well.

It wouldn't be out of the ordinary for SW to rip something off either, when you consider that some of the best SW games ever made are mechanical reskins of other games:

    Dark Forces: Doom
Battlefront 2004 and II: Battlefield 1942
    Republic Commando: Halo
The Force Unleashed: God of War
    Fallen Order: Dark Souls

Fun fact, Capcom originally wanted to collab w/ Lucas Arts to make a proper fighting game. When they backed out of the deal to make this, Capcom made Star Gladiator
