People always call them soap operas, and they do have soap operas that they call dailies, but most of the shows people are watching are actually just their usual series. It's just, the Turkish series have more romance and family stories and high drama so a lot of people assume they're soap operas. But many of them are things like male-centered mafia shows too.

Turk here. We have detestable soap operas with terrible quality. I guess, It’s perfect for the masses everywhere around the world regardless of nationality.

What happened to Sona??? Did someone possess her? She suddenly became more mild towards the Turks… Well, hate is easy. Each culture has bad pieces, good pieces… Peace is always good! Then it is good! ♥

If you are serious about being in a Turkish film, I’m a Turkish filmmaker and would love to send you a screenplay. If you like it, we could happily work together. Could you or your manager share a contact email so I can send you the details? Don’t worry, no wigs or fake mustaches involved.

As a Turk, i dont care about the soap operas. My favorite turkish series is Behzat C. If Behzat C was american production, it would be more popular than Breaking Bad.

I’m totally obsessed with Dizi’s. I’m worried that when I visit Istanbul one day soon I won’t be able to have the series soundtracks playing in my head while touring around 😂 It’s not only about the story lines; it’s also about the extraordinary talent of some actors. For example, Kivanc Tatlitug. Forget that he is incredibly handsome. His acting is truly extraordinary. What he pulled off in the series Aile or Family has not been done before anywhere. A must see. And let’s not forget about the main, unexpected villain in the series Karan Para Ask or Black Money Love shown recently on Netflix. I have not seen a character written like that ever. These series are not always about characters staring at each other which is totally entertaining. However, the best thing is that after watching so many series you start to explore what else is going on in Turkish cinema. And low and behold you discover that a lot of series are written and directed by women. And you find out that some of the best cinema directors in the world come from Türkiye such as Nuri Ceylon who has won both the Palm d’or for Winter Sleep and the Grand Prix for Once upon a time in Anatolia. Türkiye is even producing great series for Netflix like Another Self and Chaos. Check them out. They are both great. Now back to studying Turkish. 😅

I am a Turk and have been living in Norh America for over 30 years now. I have heard a lot about Turkish Soap operas but not watched even one yet… I hear that they are all very superficial and dumb… My time is too important to waste…

4:54 yeah but it exists bro pale white skin with a curly black hair … soo natural for North Caucasian area ; Russian Jews like Sergey Brin or Georgians, or Circassians or East-Northern area people in Turkey , or also Kazakh nobel persons ( non farmer / protected from the sun) etc etc … I love that contrast very attractive

The Turkish government is crazy. When the Chernobyl accident happened in a nuclear plant in Ukraine in 1986, the European Union did not buy hazelnuts and tea from Turkey. So Turkey couldn't export them to Europe. Therefore, they gave it to elementary school kids. Every day, we were getting one bag of hazelnuts and eating them. We were too young to understand that we were eating radiation-hazelnuts.

According to all the findings, Homo Sapiens are from a Turkish branch dated back to 13,000 years ago. We better remember this and never forget.

Dear Conan, you can have a moustache and in istanbul Bebek we can shoot a miami vice kind of comedy Turkish soap opera.
There are still some nice armenian Turkish Ottoman old tailors Man haute couture in Istanbul (even we can also wear mc hammer style "şalvar" ( an authentic folkloric pants like "don Johnson" style large loose white design trouser pants 🙂 that would be funny since your pants would be very tall also… İ can take that black guy part in Duo team like Miami vice.
The retro name this time would be İstanbul vice?
Won't be that macho as Tom selleck magnum but sure would be a.funny moustache Duo in yachts in blue Voyage Bodrum Marmaris and into İstanbul bebek.
Even a joke of that sounded now entertaining tough.
