Today i’m reviewing Solstafir’s 2011 released album “Svartir Sandar”. I know this album pick might be a bit random since i mostly review new releases, but i wanted to add some context to the review i did of Solstafir’s newest album “Berdreiminn”. Enjoy!

INFO: Solstafir is an icelandic post-metal band that was founded in 1995. Over the years they’ve released a series of six full-length albums. Other than “Svartir Sandar”, “Ótta” is another album that’s celebrated as one of their best ones to this date.

I have to strongly disagree with your opionion of their latest album Berdreyminn. I've been listening to this band for quite a while now (I think my first album was Köld in 2009). And so I accompanied the band on their journey to a mellower sound, if you want to say so. Berdreyminn is just the logical evolution of Svartir Sandar. Give it time, just like you did with Svartir Sandar. I've seen them about 3 weeks ago in Copenhagen and a lot of the songs they played were from Berdreyminn. And it was just amazing.
