Whilst Anthrax’s studio output has been a bit hit and miss over the last couple of decades, having seen them in 1987 and twice in the last few years they absolutely kick ass live still. Should have never gotten rid of Joey.

The new Stryper single I’m alright, I’m okay is awesome. I cant wait to hear the new album later this year. I’m also anxiously awaiting new Judas Priest. Hopefully they’ll release a new single before the end of the year.

Calling a LEFT TO DIE collection of songs "Death Return" in the write-up is misleading MP. There is no DEATH without Chuck Schuldiner – full stop! Anyhow, I hope Left to Die got the blessing of the Schuldiner estate to re-record and release those early MANTAS/DEATH demos.

How can there be a Death reunion without the man who was the band is beyond me. Sometimes you can do it. With Death, is useless IMO. Chuck was Death. But hey, we all have to eat, isn't it..

Saw Slayer on the RIB tour in Feb '87. TJ Scaglione was on drums. It was with Raven and WASP. Give you one guess who blew who off the stage and the planet. 😅 Ive been a musician for 43 years, been in a band for 32 of those, seen and played countless shows(including with Slayer 🙂) and that Slayer '87 was the absolute loudest, most intense shit ive ever witnessed. Forget it.

Hey man, I'm still so pissed of that we were so close to meet each other at the Maiden concert in Sofia.
First, I completely forgot about the Yunak fan zone…, and finally, I saw you were near us at the concert – literally through a few rows of people behind us… anyway…
The important thing is that the concert was strong and you met other fans. I would be happy if among them there were some who showed you support regarding the war. I personally came across one who, like me, was wearing a T-shirt with the flag of Ukraine. He was Bulgarian, his wife was Ukrainian.
I hope I leave you with the right impression that for me this is not just a demonstration, but a conscious political position.
I'm stopping writing so much not about music…, assuming that I'm causing you difficulties, because of what youtube recognizes as a sensitive topic.
In the future, we can meet at the next concert, in Bulgaria or somewhere else.
    Slava Ukraine! 🇺🇦🇧🇬

I wonder what Ian Hill meant by 'direct' and 'traditional'? The only part of their back catalogue that was arguably really 'direct' was British Steel, and I for one wouldn't really want a British Steel 2. If we think of 'traditional', I'd love a album harking back to the more extended 'prog' cuts on Sad Wings of Destiny, Sin after Sin and Stained Class.
As for new music, I have been listening to two albums both with a Judas Priest connection:
    1) Tail Gunner: Midnight Blitz. Promoted by, and later produced by, KK Downing, this band should by all rights be massive. The new album is a tour de force of great metal tunes and some amazing guitar work. Vlad, I'd love one of your in depth videos on this awesome band.
    2) Elegant Weapons: Evolution. Some unbelievably good guitar playing by Richie, and some interesting arrangements. However, I'm afraid I just don't enjoy listening to Ronnie Romero's singing voice, a pity as this is a better album all round than Horns for a Halo.

Death "reunion" (it's impossible, obviously) is like Queen. It isn't the same without Chuck. I was there in the Florida death metal scene in the 80's. I saw Death 3 times. I loved their pivot to technical death metal. I just can't fathom Death without Chuck. If you ever saw a show, you'd know why. I hate that young folks can't experience his music live the way it was meant to be… with Chuck.

It was an amazing time to be a metal head. 🙂

I have to say the new Anthrax is garbage. It's For the Kids? Really? The song they release of new material after 10 years is this? The new Flotsam and Jetsam blows this out of the water. The video for the "Kids" song is a lame throwback to their lame video for Madhouse. I hope the rest of the new album is better. Right now I'll stick to Persistence of Time

So happy to hear the Mighty Priest have new stuff coming. Firepower and Invincible Shield are truly equal or better than anything anyone has done ever. Masterpieces of metal indeed. Honor to the heroes of Ukraine from America!!!!!

Never let it be said that this guy doesn't cover the gamut… Everything from Stryper to Darkthrone! Incidentally, how come his percentage of subscribers never seems to go up? 🤔
