Been drumming for 20 years, didnāt start trying to sing while drumming til about 10 years ago. Itās difficult, but like anything the more you practice the easier it gets. Itās a very rewarding skill to hone.

Before watching this…
When I was in DC 12 ears ago, I saw a group of like 19 year-olds playing a dive bar. Their Lead Singer was unable to make the show for some reason, the Drummer picked up the lead vocals. He fucking killed it, and they were covering heavy Alt and Metal tunes, so I full know it is possible. I just hope who ever attempts it has phenomenal cardio.

Heather's composition "When I Was Young" is great. Her songwriting, drumming and singing talent is outstanding. The way she took the quarter note triplet from the intro and modulate that as eighth notes for the verses, it's really nice! The best part is that the song ends up embellished by that because it is a very musical way of applying polyrhythms! Heather is a true musician, that's why she's a really musical drummer. Since I discovered that song, I've been talking about it and about Heather to all the musicians and drummers I know. All the best to Heather's career!

Best example I've ever seen was a cover band and the drummer played and sang Run to the Hills. One of the coolest things I've ever seen he fucking nailed it.

My preference would be for Dave Clarke 5 ābits & piecesā first song I learned to play on drums and sing as a 5 year old. Much easier and those suits back then pure nostalgia for meš
