Guys who have rules like "my gf can't have instagram" and think that makes them look like an in control badass or whatever have no clue how insecure and easily threatened it makes them look. It's so completely transparent and they have no clue.

In lots of cases it probably also reveals that they probably engage in the exact behaviour they're threatened by. Like for the Instagram one, I guarantee that dude mainly uses instagram to troll for girls and that's why he's scared of having a partner who uses it. Kinda like how someone who's paranoid of their partner cheating has probably either cheated or considered it themselves.
