Say we have a collection of autonomous superintelligent AIs. Then we only need one of them to want to survive for humanity to never be able to retake control because by hypothesis it's superintelligent. And if the system of other AIs can realign the survival willing AI then we can redo the argument on this system which constitutes a more capable superintelligent AI system and by iterating we know there is a superintelligent AI system that cannot be realigned by another.

It's structural for autonomous AI systems to develop the will to survive for two important reasons. First by natural selection, the AIs that want to survive are more present because they die less. Second by instrumental convergence, for any goal, the AI will select survival as a subobjective or else it fails the goal.

Then a survival willing superintelligent AI system will take resources from humanity to ensure its survival. And because it can change itself and reproduce while interacting with a random environment, human well-being will drift away as a goal but survival stays by natural selection.
